Joy is defined as a state of happiness or felicity; a source of cause of delight; to rejoice; to be cheerful. The opposite of joy is sadness, misery, dispair, and grief.
One of the fruits of the Spirit is joy (Galatians 5:22). We need to be filled with the happiness found in Christ.
Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” We should rejoice in the Lord everyday. We should be filled with delight that eternal life has been made available to us through Jesus. Psalm 16:9, “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalm 118:24, “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Every morning when you wake up, be glad and filled with joy that He gives the world another day to repent and turn to Him. Be filled with joy that He has made us another day to enjoy.
John 16:24, “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” Do you want to be filled with joy? Ask the Lord!
