Good morning and welcome in today. Today we’re going to take a look at a passage of scripture but before we do that I wanted to ask you a question.
Have you ever applied for a job somewhere and during the interview asked them what was going to be your purpose while in their employ? Many years ago I was hired for a certain purpose at a warehouse. They wanted me to run a forklift, unload semi tractor trailers attached to the loading dock and then store the items that were on pallets up in huge racks. My purpose was to write the items down on a card with the location where they were at so that they could be found easily in the future. When I think back now it was like being a librarian but with much larger items! An employer has a certain function for us that he wants each of us to fulfill.
I used to have another job in retail where the manager wanted me to watch the store, keep the back room tidy and finally vacuum the carpet each night before I closed up the shop. An employer calls you to a certain purpose and duty.
We have a neighbor who likes to train hunting dogs. He has called them to a certain duty, to retrieve his birds that he shoots for supper. At our home we have had many chickens on our property for the purpose of laying fresh eggs to feed my family.
This is very much like the Christian Life. Like an employer, God chooses each of us to a certain purpose when each of us become a born-again believer. One job you may have had in the world most likely differed greatly than the other ones you may have had. When we become Christians in our hearts, God calls us to a vastly different purpose then the purpose we had living in the world.
1 Cor 11:7-9
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
The Christian Life differs greatly than what you are going to find in the world today. Many women have a great difficulty when they decide to become a Christian and have to accept man’s leadership in their life. They need to remember that this is the calling that God has placed them in. Adam was born out of the dust of the Earth but Eve was born out of man. Every woman on the earth has to understand that she was born out of Adam similar to how a child is born out of her own womb.
8Genesis 2:21-23 – And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
A woman is so named because she was taken out of a man.
Five of my children were home births, born right on our bed in our bedroom. Although my wife did almost all of the work I was the first one to see them as they came out of the womb. I was the first one to see them catch their very first breath. I tied there embillical cords. It is a miraculous thing to catch your newborn child in your arms and caress them. It makes me weep just thinking of those events of the past.
Our God cares greatly for women, as I do for my precious children, but like a child, a woman needs to accept where they first came from…. and the purpose that the Creater of heaven and Earth made them..
If God had never created Eve through Adam’s rib women would not exist in society today. They were created for a specific purpose as a help meet for men.
1 Tim 2:11-15
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
In the church God is first and we are second. In the church men are first and women are second. There’s no changing this fact in the eyes of God. Our God is a God of authority and order.
The woman as the weaker vessel is more easily deceived by the devil. Just as a parent corrects a child who is going off in the wrong direction, it’s the responsibility of the Christian woman to listen to a man’s instruction guidance and leadership so she doesn’t get deceived by those in the world, first and foremost to her husband and then others in the church.
When a child willfully usurps over the mother’s authority in the home, you ask any mother how she feels, it’s hurtful and upsets them.
If you were to ask a secretary at a school somewhere how she feels when a child completely disobeys to do as they are told, it hurts and upsets them.
If you had a woman school bus driver and she told you to sit down but none of the kids would listen, tell me how she would feel? It would hurt and upset her.
When women have these feelings of hurt for a lack of respect, they need to show the same respect to men who are their authority in this world otherwise it’s just hypocrisy on their part. They only desire respect from others but they themselves won’t show respect to the men that God has placed over them in this world.
Just watch the true woman of faith as she respects and submits and obeys not only her husband but all the men of the church. I admonish all of you young girls to do the same and I guarantee you God will bless you.
God never intended man to be completely alone. He created all women to help men.
Genesis 2:18 – And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
How are you helping a man today?
Let’s think about those things for today and Lord willing I will talk to you some more tomorrow. Till then, bye bye everybody.❤
