Goodmorning and welcome in everybody. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture, but before we do that, I wanted to ask you something.
When you were in school, how many of you had to take a true or false test? It wasn’t multiple choice, and it wasn’t essay answers, you only two choices presented to you, and you had to pick either one of the other.
This reminds me of the Christian Life.
Just like a test in school, we must be capable of discerning truth from the lies. We must recognize true men of God from false ones. God gives us plenty of help by providing us His Holy Word which is filled with all of the answers that we need. We just need to look inside and take His open book test.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
The word false means not genuine or true. It means not being faithful or loyal to our obligations as a Christian, through allegiance and selfless obedience to the doctrines of our faith. It is also defined as being treacherous, like a false friend or disloyal spouse. A true prophet of God will believe and preach the Divine truths of scripture. False prophets will preach lies, and try to subtly lead you away from obedience to Christ. They are liars and deceivers. After all, this is what the devil does, because he is the father of lies. The devil is so cunningly deceitful that he can appear like the genuine article. The truth is that he is quite the contrary. Jesus warned about the appearance of these kinds of men who would lead many astray from the truth.
Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Instead of a Spiritual transformation that happens through faith in Christ, false prophets transform themselves. All that is required is putting on a fancy robe, a stick-on name tag, and a world that is duped into believing what they see. These are the same kind of people that Jesus dealt with thousands of years ago. They appeared beautiful on the exterior, feigning themselves as just men, but behind the scenes, in secret, they were maliciously speaking evil about Him.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
There were false prophets and apostles then, and they still roam the Earth today. They even claim spirituality but it is only a deceitful hoax. We can clearly identify them because we have the answers right in front of us.
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
The Apostle Paul teaches one of the many tests of true spirituality.
1 Corinthians 14:34-37 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
Women are forbidden from the ministry of God’s Word in any capacity. Do these things go on out in the world? Absolutely! But those who participate in it or allow it to go on are obviously not of God because they are involved with heresy. Because they reject this spiritual test from Paul, they only expose themselves as disobedient frauds. Remember that these are the commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ, and those who reject them certainty don’t love Jesus, which will result in them being cursed and under His vengeance.
1 Corinthians 16:22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Those who refuse to keep his commandments are liars.
1 John 2:3-4 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Paul, a man who was filled with the Holy Spirit, refused women teachers in Church. It was something he would not put up with at all.
1 Timothy 2:11-14 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Many people who claim to be Christian allow these things to go on today in their religious groups. It’s because they are heretics, and love and disseminate lies. God will certainly punish this behavior.
Revelation 22:14-15 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
The Apostle Paul wanted Timothy to commit the things he had learned to faithful men. It is only men who have been granted the authority to teach by God.
2 Timothy 2:1-2 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
Jesus called out to men to preach the kingdom of God, not women.
Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
There are certain things that a false prophet will allow that a true spiritual man of God will not.

So the next time you see these things going on, you will know how they feel about the commandments of Christ. The devil and his false prophets don’t want to do the will of God, and will try to get you to do the same. God helps us to recognize the true men of God from the false ones. We just need to take a look inside of God’s Holy Word. The answers are already given, and you will find them all in His….
