Understanding the Mysteries of God

Many people have a pet or two, varying in variety from cats or dogs to goldfish or mice, and I suppose that every animal has their own method of communication, just as we do. From growls and yips to meows to squeaks and chirps, pretty much every animal can communicate or “speak,” but what are they saying? We don’t truly know, do we? We may like to speculate and say, Oh, they are saying this, or put a speech bubble above their head like a cartoon, but we don’t actually know what our pets are thinking or saying. We are not our pets, we are humans who understand other humans because we have that knowledge given to us.

Similarly, those people who are without the guidance and knowledge of the Holy Spirit just simply cannot understand the things of God in His Word. To them the meaning of the teachings of God are as if they are written in a different language, but to those who the Holy Spirit has been granted it is as though those words have all been translated into something that we can understand.

1 Corinthians 2:11-16  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

We can clearly see this type of change in the life of Paul, as before his conversion when he was a Pharisee he certainly heard at least some of what the other apostles and disciples of the Lord had been teaching, but at that time none of it “sunk in” to where he fully comprehended the truth of what was being spoken. But after the Lord appeared to him and he went through his conversion from Judaism to Christianity the things of God became revealed to him. He understood the mysteries of God, where he once was not able. He had been given the Holy Spirit and the understanding of the Scriptures.

You can do a quick search on the internet and quickly find how the world misreads and misinterprets the Word of God. A person without the Spirit might read a part of the Bible and think that it means one thing when in fact it means something completely different, and this is because they just have not been given the understanding. But we who believe have been given this wisdom and the understanding.

1 Corinthians 2:7-10  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

The Holy Spirit is our key to understanding the things of God, like a translator revealing what is being said. We must seek to be filled with the Spirit so that we may grow more and more each day.

Psalms 119:125  I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

The world may not understand God’s word, but we can through His Spirit. Go and ask for it!

In Christ

Andrew

(Andrew is no longer a part of this ministry, as he purposely lied, deceived me, and then betrayed me. These were not innocent mistakes but they were carefully planned out beforehand, and the clear markings of the works of the devil. Lying is one of the worst sins of all, because those involved with these types of work will inherit the lake of fire. I loved him dearly, but is love for the teachings of Christ abandoned Him. I baptized him by submersion over 25 years ago, gave him Holy Communion and biblical instruction regularly, but then he chose to do things that completely deny the things I ever taught him. The actions that he took were done willfully and with intent and go completely against many of the things that he speaks about in his writings. What he is now no longer represents the things that I believe, and I’m just letting you that he’s no longer a part of this ministry. Although many of these writings are helpful, they were written during a different time of his life because he completely abandoned this calling, and joined up with the world instead. Nothing can dictate Our lives more than a love for Christ Jesus and being chosen to His service, because every other matter will have to take second place. But he chose to forsake the plow, and renounce his duties, because the love for the things of this world became greater then the things of God.)
