2+2=4

John 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

In addition, 2+2 equals what? It’s 4, right? This is basic, simple math that everyone should have learned at a very young age in school. A school hires teachers to teach their students the fundamentals of learning so that the next generation can grow up educated correctly.

Now suppose that instead of you learning that 2+2 equals 4 your teacher taught you and all of your other classmates that 2+2 equaled 8. We know now that this is simply not true, but as a child learning for the first time you probably would have believed them. You and all of your class would have been educated wrongly, and you can know for certain that if that teacher continued to teach that incorrect information that they certainly would be removed from the school system.

The Bible teaches us how a Christian must live. It teaches us right from wrong, and how to live in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. All of the information that we need to get to Heaven is found therein, and the Bible is clear on this that there is no other set of teachings that we must follow. The teachings of the Bible are perfect, and have one meaning and one meaning only. Yet there are many people who try to change what the Scriptures teach, and not only this but they teach their own set of false doctrine as though it is the truth, and it is these types of people who purposely teach things that are not correct according to the true meaning of the Scripture we are commanded to separate from and to have nothing to do with them.

1 Timothy 6:3-5  If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

The Bible isn’t open to alteration. The Bible is not something that someone can bend to fit their liking. It is what it is, and it is the Word of God. It is unchangeable, with one meaning, and those who teach something different than what is written in the Scriptures are not speaking the truth, but only lies.

The Bible has been given to us to instruct us on how we need to live, yet some people refuse to listen to everything that is found therein. They might do some of what it teaches, but the parts that they do not want to do they will try to find other areas in the Scriptures to try to justify themselves. But there is one thing that we must remember, and that is the Bible will never contradict itself ever, and if anyone says that it does it is because they themselves are the ones who lack the understanding of the Scriptures. But the Bible does not change.

If we love Jesus we will keep His commandments, not change them. Those who try to change what the Lord taught and commanded do not love Him, and we must have nothing to do with them.

2 John 1:9-10  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

2+2 will always equal 4, no matter how hard someone wants to believe that it isn’t. God’s word is the same now as it was when it was written. It doesn’t change.

In Christ
