Forbidden Fruit

Good morning and welcome in everybody.  Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture from the book of Genesis.

Genesis 3:1-6  Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

I would like you to imagine a hypothetical situation for a moment. Scripture clearly teaches us that the reason why Adam and Eve were removed from the garden of Eden was because they were given a commandment by God, but Eve was seduced by the devil. She was so deceived that she actually believed his lie, and then went completely against the commandment of God. Adam was not deceived, but Eve caused her own husband to sin by giving him the forbidden fruit. Now, here is the hypothetical thought for you. If Eve had a daughter sitting at the supper table, or if she had invited a couple of her adult girlfriends over for lunch, do you really believe that somehow that they wouldn’t have eaten the forbidden fruit, along with Adam? What makes you think that somehow females would not be susceptible to her deceived heart? To believe that women are somehow impervious to being led astray by another woman is absolute hogwash.

This is the point. Many people preach that women are not allowed to teach men, but then they are allowed to teach other women?  What unspiritual foolishness. The facts are that they are not allowed to teach scripture to anyone, whether it’s men, women or children. She is the weaker vessel. Teaching is a male prerogative that has been granted to men by God. It’s really not that difficult to understand, but those who are non-spiritual will continue to resist what I tell you. This is because the truth flies in the face of the role of women in modern day society. That role is completely different then the role of a woman within the Christian Life.  Many of those who have allowed this to go on, are so filled with pride that they won’t repent of it anyway.  Jesus only picked men to preach God’s Word. Why? Why would the God of glory pick women to teach, when He forbids it in Scripture?

I don’t know how many years ago it was that I had read an article about someone who was chosen to be a pastor at a church somewhere. After he was there for about a month, he started removing all the women teachers from Sunday schools and places of leadership from all other areas in the church. Because of this, he was fired from his position. Here’s a man who was trying to do God’s will, and the church people wouldn’t allow him to do what God had commanded him to do. The truth is, he wasn’t in a church, but a den of wolves, a group that had been completely overrun by the devil and his companions.

I really feel that women teaching scripture is the biggest heresy in the world today. The more you look around, the more you see that everybody’s doing it. That by itself should be enough to convince you that it is not of God, it is of the world. The world flocks to worldly concepts, just like a crow to a dead animal on the highway. It runs to church groups that promote the things that they want to hear. Many of these people you can’t even correct because of their own arrogance. They don’t want to change, so they try to change the Bible instead. Like yeast in bread, these places swell in size, not because of their obedience to Christ, but because they are filled with the leaven of sin, and rebellion of the world. God does not bless disobedience. Blessed are those who hear the Word of God, and keep it.  Each day this false form of Christianity grows, looking more like the Church of Babylon prophesied in the book of Revelation. It’s beginning to look a lot like the days of Noah, when everything was destroyed because of sin and a lack of sincere faith.

Twenty years ago, we began publishing a flier called the non-profit Church, and in this flier, I explained exactly what I’m telling you today. It’s impossible to find a prophet in some of these places because they openly reject biblical truth and allow women to rule over them.

Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

The true church is run by men and conducted by men. It began with men and it will be completed by men. Someday God’s saints will return in glory, and punish the wicked. If women claim to love Jesus,…then they need to sit down and be quiet. They have no say so within the church regarding decision making or other spiritual concerns. They are spectators, who need to watch and learn their place. Just like a child in a classroom, they need to be silent and learn to obey. Their first act of obedience is complete submission to men. If they can’t humble themselves enough to do this simple act, then they will never humble themselves completely before Christ. In this frame of mind they must be completely rejected and separated from the church. Others may follow them when they leave, but it will only result in their own damnation. Many women are so filled with pride nowadays that they will not receive what I’m telling you. It is because they won’t accept the teachings of Christ Jesus. If they continue to abide in that state, they reject the will of God, and are outside of eternal salvation. If they do not repent, they will perish.

Many places will pick women to lead church councils, or give them certain authoritative positions within their religious bodies. This happens because they are led by non-spiritual men. They are not biblical soldiers of Christ, who appoint duties to men of God, but cowards who kow-tow to the female persuasion. These men don’t want to raise any waves. If a woman is offended because of biblical truth, then let them be offended, and they can find their way peacefully to the front door, or be escorted, whichever they choose. As a Christian you will enter into persecution, and many times it comes from women. If a man cannot deal with a woman in the church, he does not deserve to lead a church. If he cannot deal with the weaker vessel, how is it possible that he will be capable of dealing with men who are sinning against God?

Out in the world today, the devil is alive and well, and picks women to teach because he can easily manipulate them, the same way that he did in the garden of Eden. He wants them to listen to him rather than God. As I have said many times before, the devil is a complete weakling, trying to gain access to high places of religious authority. To do this he picks lots of different women to surround himself, who look up to him or worship him, as he raises them up into forbidden ranks. Those who mock what I say, had better get ready for some heat on Judgment Day.  No matter how many scriptures I quote, and there are many that prove my point perfectly, some people will completely reject what I have to say. When they get upset with male leadership, and spout some scripture to you to justify their own heresy, it’s best to cast them out of the church gathering. It doesn’t matter if they are men or women. The body of Christ will be better off without them.  If men are incapable of completing this task, they become a partaker of their sin. Because of their inaction, young girls and young women will grow up in a church group with rebellious women as examples in their life.

I know there are faithful women out there, women like the wife of Abraham, who know how to submit themselves to men, and I commend them for their obedience to the gospel of Christ. But there are others who lust after power and authority that they have not been granted by God.  It is such a simple directive for women, but the carnal nature will not submit to spiritual guidance. Look at society, at the women who desire power and authority. It is an evil lust just like any other. When they profess to be Christian and do such things, they are entering into territory that I would never want to venture into myself.

When we become a Christian we are supposed to turn away from the desires of the carnal nature. We are supposed to walk according to the truth of God’s Holy Word. For women, they need to accept the fact that they are under the authority of men in this world, and to get involved in teaching others is…..
