Good morning and welcome in everybody. Today we are going to take a look at a passage of Scripture, but before we do that, I wanted to tell you a little story.
About a mile away from our house, there is a lake that is already partially opened from ice. That’s incredible because it’s only March, but it is a reminder that fishing season is quickly approaching. This means that some of us will eventually need to find some worms. Although they are readily available at many bait shops and gas stations, a lot of us still prefer to dig our own. Normally, we walk around our property flipping things over, and looking under rocks. How many of you have walked out to the garden, flipped over a board, and watched as hundreds of centipedes and other critters ran away from the light. It only took a few seconds and they all disappeared into their holes and their secret places.
This reminds me of the Christian Life.
People are the same way. They run away from the truth and try to cover it all up with lies and deceit. Someday soon, it will be quickly exposed to the light, and they won’t be able to hide their wicked deeds any longer.
“Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.” Matthew 10:26
When something is kept secret it is not known or seen, or it is meant to be not known or seen by others. It is concealed, and kept confidential from the public. Many people will try to cover up their own wickedness, attempting to bury the truth and get people to believe their lies instead. Sometimes, the most wicked of liars will try to expose what they have done as good and just, trying to openly justify their sinful behavior. A Christian is called to be a beacon of Truth, shining the light of God’s righteousness upon the darkness of this world.
Ephesians 5 ¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. ¹² For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. ¹³ But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
When people are involved in doing evil things, they normally try to keep everything hush hush. They run away from my light in an attempt to hide the sinful things that they are doing. They don’t want their wicked deeds to be exposed, so they run off into the darkness instead. As I’ve always taught, the devil is a sissy.
John 3 ¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. ²¹ But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
One day when we were eating dinner at the kitchen table, Andrew, (who at that time was about 3 years old), said,…”God sees everything.” There is nothing hidden from God, whether it’s good or evil.
“The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” Proverbs 15:3
“For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.” Mark 4:22
There is corruption and great wickedness that is currently going on in high places of authority in this world. Although they try to cover everything up, their wickedness is going to be exposed in a public manner. Someday, they will wish to escape God’s everlasting wrath but will not be able. You cannot mock God and get away with it, and their punishment is coming quickly.
Revelation 6 ¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; ¹⁶ And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: ¹⁷ For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Look at the wicked deeds of Judas Iscariot. Look at the wicked deeds of Cain. Look at the wickedness of Lot’s wife. All of these things have been written into history, never to be forgotten, as an example for all those who are going to choose to live ungodly. People such as these will be clothed with eternal shame when they are finally cast into the lake of fire with the rest of the impenitent. Nobody can hide from God.
“Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.” Jeremiah 23:24
“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” Hebrews 4:13
“In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.” Romans 2:16
Every hidden and wicked deed will be brought into the light, and the unjust places of authority will face the wrath of God.
“For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.” Jeremiah 16:17
“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:14
“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.” 1 Corinthians 4:5
There are so many places of corruption in the world today, not only in worldly places of authority, but in many places that profess to follow the teachings of Christ Jesus. They claim to serve the Cross of Christ but they follow the teachings of the devil. Anyone who claims to follow Christ is to reject sin. They must turn away from wickedness and evil, and pursue the narrow path of biblical truth. They must turn from darkness to the light, embracing the will of God rather than the will of men. God is watching, and He knows who are His.
“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 2 Timothy 2:19
Like Joseph, we must be patient in our sufferings. Get ready because God is going to expose the evil that has been done against His faithful quickly.. Watch as God destroys wicked places of authority, and exposes their wicked deeds. It’s going to be quite an event, as He publicly displays their immorality and their shame.

Luke 12 ² For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. ³ Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be
Sin cannot hide from the truth.
“Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.” Psalms 90:8
“Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.” Psalms 19:12
God sees everything and there is nothing hidden from his eyes. Those who love and make a lie will be damned. They might try to cover up things, but their wickedness will be exposed, because those who are truly righteous, will eventually take a good look,….
