Good morning and welcome in everyone. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture from 1 Corinthians.
1 Corinthians 11 ² Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. ³ But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
God is a God of order, and women are called to be in subjection unto men, whether they are married or not. It doesn’t matter if they are in a church or out in society somewhere. Orderly behavior doesn’t disappear simply when people leave the church. To maintain order, women must place themselves in complete subjection unto men. Young women will watch the older women submitting themselves, and then if they choose to get married in the future, they will hopefully be prepared to submit to their own husbands.
In society, there is equality, but in the church there is order, which means that there are different ranks of authority. Older women need to be a proper role model for today’s younger girls. If a woman cannot serve and obey a man, she cannot serve God, because man was made in God’s image. All it is, is open disobedience and rebellion against the will of God.
1 Corinthians 11:7-9 ⁷ For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. ⁸ For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. ⁹ Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
Remember, that when Adam was first formed, he was created directly by God and without any intervention from a woman.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26
Genesis 2 ²¹ And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; ²² And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. ²³ And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
God didn’t want man to be all alone, so woman was created for this very purpose. Adam essentially gave birth to her when God created her from his loins. This shows God’s structure of authority from the very beginning. She was made as man’s helper, to assist and obey him in whatever was needed.
“And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” Genesis 2:18
This is another reason why women are not supposed to teach and preach the things of God. It is the responsibility of man, and it is disorderly when she interjects herself into their affairs and their service to God. She is forbidden from teaching any branch of knowledge, in any capacity. Many women who refuse to obey this, are simply usurping over the Apostle Paul.
1 Timothy 2 ¹¹ Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. ¹² But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. ¹³ For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
So you see, the man wasn’t created for the woman at all. He was created to serve God, and the woman was created to serve and obey man. This is a structure of order that must be maintained, even for the sake of our children. In the military, they maintain a similar hierarchy, because without it there would be absolute chaos.
This is one of the reasons why there are so many families who are living in complete confusion about their sexual roles. Women must learn to submit to men throughout society, because it is a fundamental building block to successful families or any other interpersonal relationships. To submit is to accept and yield to a superior force, or to the will and authority of another person. Without this structure of obedience towards men, order quickly disintegrates.
“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” Romans 6:16
Sometimes I think that many women don’t understand how important they really are. Impressionable eyes are watching to see if they will submit, or rebel against the authority of men, who were made in the image of God. Failure to take heed to these passages, is one of the main reasons why there is so much disorderly behavior going on out in society.
Rather than being home and providing care for their relatives, husbands, or children, they have ventured out into the world to find careers of their own. Remember that the love of money is the root of all evil. It is so evil, that when women begin to chase after it, they can completely forget about their duties to those in their own home. They begin to believe the lie that the more they possess, will actually create happiness. But in the end, they will only pierce themselves through with many sorrows.
A woman in the home is like a fireplace in the living room that everyone gathers around, as she warms them all up with her good deeds. Actually, the reason why many women have abandoned the home is because they won’t submit themselves to the teachings of the Apostles,.. (who, by the way, were made in the image of God.) They have also been instructed by false prophets and false prophetesses who have led them into heresy. Because of this, it has resulted in a complete disregard for the chain of command in huge numbers of false Christianity around the world.
Now, speaking exclusively to married women, the Apostle reminds them that they too needed to be in complete submission to their own husbands.
Ephesians 5 ²² Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. ²³ For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. ²⁴ Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Remember today that ….
…..the head of the woman is the man;
Headship is defined as,.. “who has authority over you”. Any woman who wants to enter into eternal life will need to repent along with everybody else,.. and humbly submit to…
……. Male Authority
