Good morning and welcome in everyone. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture, but before we do that, I wanted to tell you a little story.
Over the last 2,000 years, much of the decline of morality in society has happened within the last 100 years. People who profess to be Christians are supposed to lead the world in conservative values, and be an example of what is right and wrong. But we are in an era of great wickedness, being led by a huge form of false Christianity that has been taking over the world. This is one of the reasons I finally had to leave them years ago. They have been overrun by Jezebel and false prophets, preaching a false gospel of open impurity and immorality. We are in a period of quick and rapid decline of conservative moral qualities, and it will continue to grow worse until the return of the Lord Jesus. The more you look at the world, the more it looks like the days of Noah, a society where obedient Faith towards Christ is quickly being depleted.
“……Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8
One example is men and women who are living together outside of the bond of marriage. Back in the 1950s, college dorms were absolutely off-limits to members of the opposite sex. Men and women were housed in completely separate buildings, and at that time co-ed dorms were unthinkable. Even at an overnight activity for school, boys and girls were kept separate from each other. Family members back then would be outraged at what is going on in society today, because there was a greater sense of purity then. These things were not allowed, and the genders were kept separate. But whenever strong conservative beliefs begin to slacken off into liberalism, people had better get ready for hellfire. It’s like a dog returning to its own vomit, or a pig who has been washed to its wallowing in the mire. True men of God are being depleted upon this Earth, along with those who contend for the faith that was once given to the Saints.
Nowadays men and women who are involved in a romantic relationship decide to move in and live together under the same roof. They live as a married couple, they act as a married couple, but they are not married at all. Years ago, a man couldn’t even be alone with a woman that he was dating, much less live with her. He had to have a few family members or chaperones present when he took her out on a date. This was for the protection of her honor and purity. Morality hasn’t changed, people have, as they succumb to the wickedness of this world. Back then, parents were very protective of their children, seeking to keep dating relationships pure, but nowadays things have progressively gotten worse. They don’t even seem to care anymore. I can understand when complete unbelievers do this, but for those who have been baptized into the Christian Life, it’s a completely different story.
Genuine Christians are supposed to be role models of purity, waiting for marriage and their honeymoon to have this type of close relationship with the opposite sex. Nowadays, many people who profess to be followers of Christ, will simply claim that they are not fornicating, but that doesn’t change the fact that less than 100 years ago, people loathed this type of behavior. Morality doesn’t change, people do, and unless they repent, they will perish
This is absolutely forbidden for anybody who has been baptized into the Christian Life. Sexuality is reserved for marriage, but so is living together. Living together like as man and wife, is reserved for those who are married as man and wife. There is a huge difference between dating someone, and living with them. If there is some type of romantic relationship going on, this type of close proximity is forbidden because it is reserved for marriage only. It doesn’t matter if it’s sexual or not. Living together is to participate in the life and activities of a married couple, without actually being married at all.
The reason why some women get involved with this type of behavior is because of the example of their own wicked mother who did the exact same thing. Some of them are mothers who completely rejected the commands of Christ, and departed and divorced their own spouse. When their daughters do the same thing, the mother is to blame. She is responsible for their sin and will be ultimately held accountable by God for what she has done. It would have been better off if she hadn’t been born.
Some young women follow their mothers, when they should be following Christ. To truly be a Christian, you must never accept the sinful activities of your own mother. Our love for Christ Jesus, and the teachings of His Holy Word must be greater than any other love in this world. If you tolerate the sinful deeds of your own mother, then you only prove that you love her more than Jesus. People such as these are unworthy of eternal life.
Matthew 10 ³⁵ For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. ³⁶ And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
Would you like your 17-year-old daughter moving in with someone without getting married first? If you wouldn’t like that, then you partially agree with what I’m telling you today. It doesn’t matter if a woman is 17, 30 or 50 years old. Living together while romantically involved with a man, even without committing fornication, is outside the teachings of Chastity in the Christian Life. It has even been forbidden by different cultures for thousands of years. But rather than climbing towards greater purity, many insincere Christians are backsliding into sin, and sliding off the cliff of immorality. Anyone who claims to be a Christian and exhibits this type of behavior makes a mockery of the teachings of our precious Lord Jesus. It’s one thing for direct family members to live together in a household setting, but it is wicked when a woman who is in an open relationship with some man, lives under the same roof with him without being married. It is even more wicked when she involves children from a past relationship to become involved with what she is doing.
I’m not alone on this because millions of conservative Christians believe the exact same thing. This type of close relationship is a reward for those who have chosen to obey Christ and get married. Many times it happens because a professing Christian woman left her husband. When you disobey the teachings of Christ, nothing good is going to come of it. It only gets worse. She sins by leaving her husband, she sins by divorcing him, she sins by living with some other man, and she sins again by eventually marrying him. These are not Christian women, and they wonder why they cannot find a good man after that.
Anyone professing Christianity must depart from this type of unchaste lifestyle, because there is nothing Holy or Godly about unmarried and romantically involved couples….
