Good morning and welcome in everybody. Today we are going to take a look at a passage of Scripture from the book of Galatians.
We are living in some wicked times when people who profess to be followers of Christ Jesus have tried to make the teachings of scripture congruent with the way that society lives. They have tried to make the narrow path of Christ much wider than it actually is. Rather than accepting the fact that they are on the wide road of destruction and repenting of their deeds, they simply change the teachings of scripture instead.
Galatians 1 ⁶ I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: ⁷ Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. ⁹ As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
As we approach the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, seducers and deceivers will get worse and worse, a prophecy that is being fulfilled right before our very eyes. In this age of mass communication and distribution, many religious wolves have gotten a hold of the scriptures and twisted them to their own advantage. Rather than accepting the error of their way and repenting of their wickedness, they change the sacred teachings of Christ; thinking that if they change its words, that somehow they will no longer be bound to its precepts and punishments, but God’s wrath will come upon them swiftly.
2 Peter 2 ¹ But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. ² And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. ³ And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
These people have taken biblical texts, twisted them to the point of heresy, and then published them as the word of God. Those who change the prophecies of scripture will be cursed. The devil has been doing this type of thing for thousands of years, from the garden of Eden, to the temptation of Christ. One of his wicked works is to usurp over God, which can be clearly seen through the writings of these many modern-day perversions of Holy writ. Many people don’t want to be rebuked by God’s Word, so they change it so it fits in with their wicked lifestyles, but try as they may, the truth of God’s Word is a rock that cannot be moved. It sets the standard of the way that we must live our lives and is unchangeable and eternal.
“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.” Mark 13:31
But rather than becoming obedient to what it teaches, people have chosen to rewrite their own version of the truth. Throughout the centuries, many false prophets have preached a false gospel, one that is motivated by the desire for Earthly gain. It’s no wonder that the love of money is the root of all evil.

Titus 1 ¹⁰ For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: ¹¹ Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.
The Apostles were true and sincere men of God, who never handled the Word of God deceitfully.
“But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:2
In today’s modern false churches, sinful lifestyles that are condemned throughout the scriptures are welcomed. Rather than rebuking those who live in darkness, they embrace them.
Ephesians 5 ¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. ¹² For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. ¹³ But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
One must remember that the Apostle Paul had people removed from the church who were living openly in fornication, yet modern day wolves could care less, just as long as you throw enough money into the offering plate. They corrupt the pure teachings of Christ by twisting them unto their own damnation
2 Peter 3 ¹⁵ And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; ¹⁶ As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Homosexuality and other forms of sexual lasciviousness is forbidden in the New Testament, but many false prophets receive and even ordain them. Women are to be in subjection to men and to their own husbands, but Jezebel refuses to be controlled by them. These are not churches that are governed by scripture, but by their own carnal nature.
When you pervert something, it is to alter it from its true meaning into a distortion or corruption of what was really intended. It is to subvert something, especially deliberately, completely changing it from what it once was or should be. Remember that there is only one gospel, which was given once to the Saints.
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jude 1:3
To pervert means to cause to turn aside or away from what is good, true and morally correct. This is what the devil did to Eve in the garden of Eden, and continues to do it today by leading people into disobedience to God.
1 Timothy 4 ¹ Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; ² Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
There is a difference between right and wrong; there is a difference between good and evil; and there’s a difference between truth and a lie. When the truths of scripture are in the hands of the impenitent, it is like giving pearls to the swine. They take the treasures of Divine wisdom and through their own rebellion and disobedience, trample them into the mud.
The Bible is one of the biggest selling books in history, and many people try to rewrite it simply to profit from its changes. Woe unto these people who have no fear of the Almighty God. There is only one true Gospel, and one true faith, and cursed are all those who try to alter its precepts by coming out with their own….
