Good morning and welcome in everybody. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture, but before we do that, I wanted to tell you a little story.
I can remember when I was very young, taking a large puppet and hooking it up with strings to some pieces of wood. The head of the puppet was connected to the center of the main control stick, and the entire body would stand upright when you held it up in the air. The arms and legs would be attached to some side sticks, and with a little bit of practice, you could make the puppet do a little dance to entertain all of the kids in the classroom. It’s been claimed that string puppets have been around for thousands of years. Apparently they were used in ancient Egypt as they have found clay and ivory puppets that were controlled by wires. The interesting thing about a puppet is that it is completely controlled by the puppeteer. Someone else is pulling the strings and causing the puppet to do its bidding.
This reminds me of the Christian Life.
Any man who decides to become a Christian must never allow themselves to become a puppet of a woman. Whatever we do, however we live, and all of the decisions that we make must be completely controlled by the teachings of Christ and the Holy Spirit. Holy men of God are to be followers of Jesus, not women.
“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;” Genesis 3:17
When a man hearkens to a woman, and allows his actions to be controlled by her rather than God, he is entering into a world of hurt. After all, look at what happened in the life of Adam because of what he did. Solomon listened to his wives and began getting involved with their false religion, which greatly upset the Lord. The heart of man must be ruled and controlled by God, not a woman, otherwise it is a violation of the first commandment. Men must lead and rule over women in the church, otherwise it is disorderly. Even the Apostle Peter was married, but he never allowed a woman to dictate his decision making. What I mean by that, is that he never abandoned his Apostolic duties to follow his wife. This is absolutely disorderly and completely backwards from the structure that is contained within the teachings of scripture.
Whether a woman is married or not, the entire purpose for which she was created, was for the man. If she desires eternal life, she must serve Him as she would Christ Jesus. This is quite different from the wide world of Christianity that is in the world today. The true path to Heaven is much narrower, and a lot of people simply are not going to make it. This is because they mingle the profane with the sacred, and deceive themselves into believing a lie rather than the truth. It is man who is the image and glory of God.
1 Corinthians 11 ⁷ For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. ⁸ For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. ⁹ Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
In this modern era, people like to play game stations in front of their television sets. Like a digital puppeteer, they will use a game controller to control the actions of their character on the screen. But a man of God is supposed to be controlled by Christ and His teachings, not by a woman. Children need to be in subjection to their parents in the same way that women need to be in subjection to men. These are strange times that we live in, where many women who profess to be followers of Christ claim equality with men. They completely usurp their authority, overstepping the boundaries that God set forth in the order of creation. It will continue to get worse as people are deceived by this false form of Christianity. It is not the faith that was originally given to the saints 2,000 years ago, but has been overrun by Jezebel and her false prophets.
Revelation 2 ²⁰ Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. ²¹ And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. ²² Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. ²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Obviously, the world might live like this, but however the world lives must never influence the church and its teachings. This is why we must come out from the world and be separate. Because people refuse to do that, they adopt secular teachings and philosophies and try to integrate them into the gospel. This is where they greatly err and head right off the cliff into heresy and false teachings.
2 Corinthians 6 ¹⁴ Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? ¹⁵ And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? ¹⁶ And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. ¹⁷ Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, ¹⁸ And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Whether a woman is married or not, she is required to place herself in complete subjection to men.
1 Timothy 2 ¹¹ Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. ¹² But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. ¹³ For Adam was first formed, then Eve.¹⁴ And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. ¹⁵ Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
It’s no wonder why there is so much confusion about sexuality in the younger generations, as there has been a complete role change in the function and purpose of the genders. In the church the role of men and women is predicated throughout the scriptures. God must rule a man’s heart and never allow a woman to be in control of the strings, otherwise you will only become……..
