Good morning and welcome in everybody. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture, but before we do that, I wanted to tell you a little story.
Occasionally I will hear a story about somebody who got out of their vehicle and was approached by a police officer. They explained that their vehicle was parked in the wrong place, and it would need to be moved or else it would be towed.They asked for their name and registration and slowly began to write them out a ticket for the offense. But because the driver was in a big hurry and already late for work, they asked if they could pay cash right on the spot. The officer said that would be fine, took the payment, and then went on their way. But the truth of the matter was that they really weren’t an officer at all. They were wearing the uniform and even had a badge, but underneath they were a thief and a con- man, who’s only desire was to deprive them of their money.
This reminds me of the Christian Life.
Not everything we see is actually what it really is. Just like a wolf dressed up in sheep’s clothing, many people appear to be Christian, but are deceivers inside of their hearts.
2 Corinthians 11 ¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
The scriptures warn about false apostles, false prophets, and even false brethren within the church. When something is false, it appears to be the thing denoted, but is deliberately made or meant to deceive. This is what Annanias and Sapphira did to Peter, when they willfully lied to his face. When something is false, it is done with intent and knowingly untrue. It’s not genuine or authentic. These types of people are frauds and liars.
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44
We are in a period of History where we are surrounded by false prophets, which the Lord Jesus foretold was going to happen.
“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:11
The Apostle Paul warned the church of the same thing.
2 Peter 2 ¹ But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. ² And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
“I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:” Revelation 2:2
False prophets have no intention of coming into compliance with the will of God. This is because underneath it is the devil, who is a rebellious and disobedient snake in the grass. The goal of the devil is to lead you away from loving obedience to the will of God. After all, this is what he did to Eve in the garden of Eden, and before the return of Jesus Christ it’s going to get far worse.
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:13
It’s fairly easy to identify them, because they don’t believe in the writings of the original Apostles and Prophets of the Lord Jesus. Remember that God’s Word was written by men who were filled up with the Holy Spirit. Obviously, the Holy Spirit is one Spirit, and it’s not going to disagree with others who are filled with that same Spirit.
“There is one body, and one Spirit,………..Ephesians 4:4
Those who believe that they are a prophet will be in complete agreement with the other Apostles and prophets from Scripture.
“And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.” 1 Corinthians 14:32
The Apostle Paul was a man of God who wrote a lot of the New Testament that we have today. He was filled with the Holy Spirit of God, and anybody who claims to be Spiritual is going to agree with the things that he taught to the church. One of these teachings is the role of women.
1 Corinthians 14 ³⁴ Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. ³⁵ And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. ³⁶ What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? ³⁷ If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
The role of man is to teach, while the role of women is to learn. This is why there were never women Apostles, because it is completely against the will of God for women to preach and teach scripture. False prophets have been ordaining women for many years, which is one of the greatest heresies in our time. It is one of the visible signs of false Christianity.
Revelation 2 ²⁰ Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. ²¹ And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. ²² Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
“As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” Isaiah 3:12
Jesus told his disciples that He would make them fishers of Men. Although women such as Mary and Martha learned at the feet of the master, He told this to His disciples because He wanted them to find other men who were capable of preaching and teaching the kingdom of God, something that women are absolutely forbidden from doing. Women are forbidden from teaching in any capacity. Women have been doing this out in society for many years now, something that was considered sinful behavior less than 500 years ago. False prophets will justify their heresies by saying that times have changed. Morality never changes, only backslidden reprobates to the faith. In the church setting, the Apostle Paul didn’t allow a woman to usurp over a man. Once again, Paul was filled with the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit doesn’t contradict itself. It doesn’t matter how many great swelling words of vanity these false prophets might preach, if they don’t accept the teachings of the Apostle Paul, they are ignorant frauds, knowing nothing.
1 Timothy 2 ¹² But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. ¹³ For Adam was first formed, then Eve. ¹⁴ And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Education is a place of authority, and the things that society finds acceptable are completely immoral in the true Church of God. Any woman who professes to follow Jesus is forbidden from teaching anything, and must lovingly submit to the authority of men of God to instruct them. Women can certainly win people to Christ through their good deeds and kind acts, but the teaching is left to the men alone.
False prophets have had women preaching and teaching scripture for hundreds of years, everything from Bible studies, to Sunday schools and even in the pulpits. Take note of who they are, because you certainly don’t want to find yourself on a sinking ship and surrounded by….
