The Precipice

Good morning and welcome in everybody. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture, but before we do that I wanted to tell you a little story.

When I was in junior high school I had an opportunity to visit the north shore of Minnesota, traveling from Duluth all the way up to two harbors. This is an incredibly beautiful drive, especially in the fall, and in different places we would pull over and get a chance to walk down some of the many scenic walking trails. But on one of these trails, I can distinctly remember coming up to an extremely steep cliff, so steep that I got down on my belly and crawled to peer over the edge. It must have been over a hundred feet high, and I grabbed a large rock that was within my reach and rolled it off the edge and watched as it plunged all the way into the lake below.

This reminds me of the Christian Life.

Just like a rock falling off a cliff, this world is on the precipice of Great Tribulation, and if you open your eyes, it’s not too difficult to come to that conclusion. Many people have fallen away from the truth of the Christian faith simply because they have allowed themselves to be seduced by the teachings of false prophets. Jesus taught that many of these deceivers were going to come, and just like ants on a huge ant pile, this world is filled up with them.

Matthew 24:11 (KJB)  And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

The world is inundated with false prophets within many forms of modern Christianity. I say modern because they have tried to fit the old ways of the church from 2,000 years ago to fit modern society. I’ve always said that the true church doesn’t change, people do. The teachings of scripture don’t change, the world does. God’s Word is a rock that is unmovable and unchangeable, yet when you look around at people who carry a Bible or even wear a cross around their neck, they are living lives that are completely contrary to the teachings of the New Testament. They have women preaching and teaching, not only in the church but also our in society as well. Women need to learn from men, but now the women have become men, and I say that not facetiously because it’s the truth. In the same way that people rebel against Christ Jesus, women are rebelling against men, and they must remember that if it wasn’t for man, they wouldn’t be here in the first place.

Genesis 2:23 (KJB)  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

I have noticed that false prophets will surround themselves with women preachers and bible teachers. Perhaps some of you grew up in these false churches where the education department was completely run by women. Well, the Apostle Paul didn’t put up with this type of bologna, and any true man of God won’t either. You know why that is? God is a God of order, and order is defined as a proper state or methodical arrangement of things. What man among you is going to allow a 5-year-old child to dictate serious decision making within your home? What principal at a school is going to allow a 6-year-old to make the rules concerning the governance of classroom behavior?  What military man among you will allow a soldier to dictate to a general and make his decisions? These are common sense issues, just as it should be regarding women being subordinate to men. Even John Wesley went off the deep end of the pool by getting women involved in something there forbidden from. I think that a lot of the people who know me understand that I have no animosity towards women whatsoever, but when women feel like they have some type of authority over men, we can mark out that woman and ask God to punish her. This is completely within our purview as a man of God, and if it goes on within the church she needs to be expelled from the church just like a high school student from school.

It was only a matter of months after I was baptized into the Christian Life that I was grieved in my heart after I read a story about a young Baptist minister. One of the first things that he did when he took over a church group was had all the women teachers leave their positions in order to be replaced by men. Incredibly enough, he was expelled for doing so. I guess it’s not a shock considering Billy Graham and his own family. Here was a devoted new follower of Christ trying to do the will of God, but the group that he was involved with was a stumbling block to his duties to Christ Jesus. These are the times that we live in people.

WAKE UP AN SNAP TO ATTENTION!

The days of Noah are coming quickly upon us! Men who cannot understand the order between men and women are the most disorderly men you will find, because if they are faithless in the least, they are faithless also in much..

2 Thessalonians 3:6 (KJB)  Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Just think if a woman was subordinate to her husband how many marriages would stand the test of time! When she submits to him, she submits to Christ, even though his actions may be deemed as inappropriate. Even men in high places of authority make mistakes occasionally, just as Noah did with over consumption, but you must respect and honor them for the sake of the office that has been granted to them by God. Teaching is a place of authority, and most anybody who has been involved with education will agree with me on that issue. The instructor is over the student, and the Apostle Paul did not suffer a woman to teach at all. False prophets who have women teaching are simply too lazy to do it themselves. Like Jesus, one male teacher can teach thousands of people, but yet false prophets choose women to do it instead. The Apostle Paul did not suffer a woman to teach, and because he was walking in the Holy Spirit neither did Peter or the other Apostles.

1 Timothy 2:11-14 (KJB)  Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

A woman is a girl, a virgin or a married woman. A woman is a woman, and they are forbidden from teaching in any capacity. My children were all homeschooled, but my wife was never allowed to teach in my home. She was involved with secretarial duties like correcting tests and that sort of issue, but never to instruct the kids. I find it actually amazing that there are some unbelieving false religions who understand this concept better than those who claim to believe in Jesus. Women who teach are disorderly, and sometimes the ones who are responsible for their sin are the men who have put them into these positions.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (KJB)  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

When I was a young child, I would go into the school library and was taught how to find a book according to its title. Before computer usage we used to use a card file and everything was arranged in alphabetical order. When things were kept in order, the books were very easy to find, but when you put a card back in the wrong spot, it created chaos for the next person. God is a god of order and false prophets are disorderly. The word false means not according to truth or fact. It is false, treacherous and faithless, and is made to look or seem real in order to deceive others. Sometimes people will get a set of false teeth, and although they are not their real ones, they sure look like it. Sometimes people can appear like a sheep outwardly, but are completely different inside of their heart.

Matthew 7:15 (KJB)  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

We are passing through an unparalleled time of History, one in which people are running headlong into false Christianity, just as the Apostle forewarned.

2 Timothy 3:13 (KJB)  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

How do you discern true Christianity from false christianity? Well let me ask you this. When you were children, how did you discern the difference between a penny and a quarter? Perhaps your dad sat you down at the kitchen table one evening and showed you the difference between the two. How do you discern the difference between a Northern pike and a Walleye? Perhaps your dad showed you when you went fishing one weekend. A lot of people cannot discern false Christianity because they are completely ignorant of the teachings of the Bible. They might know a few passages of it but they really don’t read it, study it or hear it preached and taught and because of that they really have no concept of Spiritual truth nor the will of God. We are supposed to grow in knowledge and wisdom every single day.

2 Peter 3:18 (KJB)  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Colossians 3:16 (KJB)  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

I’ve been told by many people that I probably grew up in the wrong era because I would have been fine back in the 1800s but you know what, it’s not me that should be living back then, it’s false Christianity that has arisen among us. I may be pretty simple but you know what, I’m not stupid enough to not recognize that men and women have changed and succumbed to the teachings of society. If true Christianity won’t stand up against the world then the inevitable is going to happen. You might as well push a heavy rock off of the cliff, because each of us are standing upon….
