Everlasting Justice

Good morning and welcome in everybody. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture, but before we do that, I wanted to tell you a little story.

Did your older brother ever beat you up, but when you cried out to your dad for assistance, he did nothing about it at all? Have you ever been at a school and there was a gang of kids who were trying to hurt you on the playground, but the principal wouldn’t reach out and lend a hand to help you? Have you ever been robbed in the back alley of your neighborhood, but the police never bothered to reach out a hand to assist you?

This reminds me of the Christian Life

There are all kinds of places of authority in this world, but a lot of them could care less about doing justice for others. But rather than going to Earthly courts for justice, the true servants of Christ can petition the Lord Jesus in their prayers to avenge them. Some people who are involved with the wicked works of darkness may feel untouchable in this world, but be assured that God is watching. When His faithful children are harmed, it will provoke Him to wrath, and the fire of His vengeance shall quickly descend upon their heads. For it is written, and it shall be done.

Luke 18:1-8 (KJB)  And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.

In this passage, the widow was constantly asking the judge for assistance. She petitions him so many times that he simply gets tired of listening to her and only then would he take care of the matter. Sometimes I think about a child at a grocery store who constantly keeps tugging at his mother’s skirt because he wants something. She may ignore him for a while, but he keeps tugging over and over again until he finally gets what he wants.

Many people want justice, but throughout history we learn that there are many people who have sought after high places of authority, not because they really wanted to do justice for others, but because they lust after power, popularity and fame. Sometimes they will only do justice if it benefits them in some manner. Maybe they have a high profile case that they are quick to jump on because it is highly publicized and everybody will quickly notice of them. Other times, they will leave the smaller matters by the wayside because it does nothing to further their career. You have to understand that this is the world that we live in, and it is led by worldly people. I’ve known many people who have joined up with Earthly places of government only to find out later that they were corrupt and wicked. They genuinely wanted to serve society, but quickly realized that they were surrounded by wolves in sheep’s clothing. Consider all the high places of religious authority during Jesus’s day, who were filled with corruption and complete hypocrisy.

Many people believe that this world is headed for an era of lasting peace and happiness, but that is simply not going to happen, because as we near the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, it’s going to get worse and worse. This is happening as we speak as it’s beginning to look more and more like the days of Noah.

Matthew 24:37-39 (KJB)  But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

All the governments of this world along with everything that you see, will eventually be burned up and destroyed by God.

2 Peter 3:10 (KJB)  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

There are many different reasons why people seek political office, and most of them are completely hidden from public view. As the Lord teaches about an unjust judge, sometimes the decisions that they make are made for many other reasons than serving justice. The Apostle Paul was fighting the battle against these wicked places of government, by exposing their darkness by bringing them into the light.

Ephesians 6:12 (KJB)  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

But you can know that when the elect of God cry out to God for justice, He will avenge them speedily! Consider the days of Moses when God punished the Egyptians for not releasing the Israelites from captivity. God has not changed, and in His vengeance He can bring forth plagues, pestilence, and even death upon those who do wickedly towards His faithful children. Ananias openly lied to Peter, and God killed him because of it.

Acts 5:3-5 (KJB)  But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

There are many different ways that a dad can punish his child. He can send him to his room, or ground him to the house. He might take the car away from him, or impose different types of labor such as cutting the lawn or cleaning the house. When people do wicked things, God can inflict them in many different ways, and no, it’s not some strange coincidence that bad things are happening to you, because you will reap what you sow. When you do evil to God or others, God can repay evil to you in many different ways. As I’ve always told my family, you don’t ever want to mess with God, or provoke His kind heart to anger.

2 Thessalonians 1:6-10 (KJB)  Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

Paul warned the church not to go before the unjust for justice, but to bring it before the church. The reason why is that the Saints are going to judge the world. Every high place of authority in this world will have to stand in judgment before the Servants of Christ, and their judgments will prevail forever. Those who have maltreated the children of God while here on the Earth, will be cast into an everlasting lake of fire, along with all those who refuse to repent of their sins and reject the truth of scripture. Even David cried out to God to fight against those who fought against him, fervently petitioning the creator of Heaven and Earth to impose his Divine Justice upon them, and their punishment.

Psalms 35:1-5 (KJB)  Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

Be patient in your sufferings and serve the Lord Jesus Christ with a faithful and obedient heart. Never stop crying out to Him for help and assistance, because He will avenge you, both on the earth and in eternity. As much as people may try, no one will be able to flee from the Divine wrath that awaits them, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near, and the days of His vengeance are at hand, and they will most certainly meet, Gods swift and……
