Good morning and welcome in everybody. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture, but before we do that, I wanted to tell you a little story.
Many of you have had the opportunity to go to some large theater productions, such as a Broadway play or a musical. A lot of them have incredible special effects and beautiful drops that can be very convincing and make you feel like everything is real. But when the curtain finally closes and the lights turn back on, reality sets in because they were only actors who were performing their parts from a script. But people better be on their toes, because one of the greatest theatrical presentations that this world has ever seen is coming to pass right before our eyes. It is being led by a huge cast of false prophets, who are disseminating their lies and deceiving the nations with their skullduggery and deception. What these frauds are doing is the true meaning of a dog and pony show, which is defined as an elaborate and staged presentation that is designed to impress or mislead. It is an event that can be very showy but is used to manipulate opinions. One other definition defines it as a performance that is designed to be impressive but is often superficial and insincere.
This reminds me of the Christian Life.
Just as Jesus prophesied, this world is inundated with false prophets, which reveals to us the ever nearing closeness of His return, and the Apostle Paul fought fervently against Spiritual wickedness in high places. Like a movie set, their aim is to dazzle and amaze with visual eye candy to deceive all of the simple minded. They put on quite the dog and pony show but it will be short-lived, because when all is said and done, their lying and deceitful tongues shall taste the heat of an everlasting lake of fire, one that will never be quenched.
Matthew 24:24 (KJB) For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Signs and wonders. Signs and wonders!!! Many people are going to be deceived into false Christianity because they judge by outward appearances. For example, they will see huge works of stained glass, or towering steeples reaching high above ornate buildings and actually believe that this is evidence that something spiritual is going on there. Jezebel and false prophets will pack thousands of people into a stadium, and just because of the sheer size of the gathering, the simple-minded will actually believe that something spiritual is happening there. A lot of the religious leaders of Jesus day were very involved putting on an outward show for the public, because they really didn’t love God in their heart. What they actually loved was the performance, and thrived on being seen.
Matthew 23:5-6 (KJB) But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
In the last 2,000 years things have gone full circle, because the same people who were claiming to be religious back then, are the same people who are running false forms of Christianity today. They are exactly the same type of people, spiritual frauds who are involved with a religious dog and pony show for the public. Nowadays many modern forms of false Christianity are nothing more than a Las Vegas event, complete with disco lights, digital delay, and musicians who appear no different than people you would see got a secular rock concert somewhere.
Another point is that prayer is a very private matter, even when praying in a group with others. It was always meant to be kept out of public view, but nowadays they will have huge prayer rallies and even televise them. This has been going on for many years with the introduction of television and now on the internet. You will see them pray wildly at county fairs and in public places which not only exposes their disobedience to the gospel of Christ, but their complete hypocrisy which is a strong attribute of false prophets. They want to show you their religious activities, which is not a love for God, it is a love to be seen.
Matthew 6:1-6 (KJB) Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Like actors in a play, false prophets are performers who like a huge audience to watch them. The devil doesn’t want people to follow God or His teachings, and will put on the grandest of displays in order to get people to follow him. These types of things are going on as we speak, and will continue to grow worse. Those who are completely focused on what they see, will be completely deceived along with the rest of them.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (KJB) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
In these latter days, one of the easiest ways to discern false prophets are by the role of women in their groups. False prophets will listen intently to women preachers because they are completely unspiritual. Paul didn’t put up with women teaching or preaching, because it usurps God’s purpose and calling for men. It is men who were created in God’s image, and women must be in complete submission to them, whether they are married or not.
1 Timothy 2:12 (KJB) But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
Men who allow women to usurp or take authority over other men have never known God. This is because they love women more than the teachings of Christ Jesus, something that Jezebel thrives on! Men such as these are like unto graven images that are worshiped in numerous false religions. Ears they have but they hear not, Eyes they have but they see not, which is a fulfillment of prophecy spoken of by the prophet Esaias.
Matthew 13:14 (KJB) And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
Another way that you can discern a false prophet is because they allow women to lay hands on them or other men which is complete disorder and confusion. Even when the Apostle Paul stayed at Philip the evangelist’s home, Philip had four daughters who prophesied, but it was a man named Agabus who prophesied over Paul, not the women. (Acts 21)
So make sure all of you men are ready for the second act, as Jezebel and all of the false prophets prepare for the biggest theatrical presentation in history. They will dazzle by their numbers, deceive with their heresies, and tickle the years of the damned. But eventually the final curtain will be drawn when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to punish them all, and I guarantee you that this will be the end of……
