Morning
Psalms 34:18 (KJB) The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
When someone is filled with contrition they will openly display sorrow and deep remorse for the wrong things that they have done. They will be filled with Godly sorrow and great regret for the sinful activities that they have been involved with. The Apostle James taught the church that they needed to humble themselves in the sight of God by mourning and weeping before Him. When we draw nigh unto Him with a meek heart of contrition, God will draw nigh unto us, and those who humble themselves shall be lifted up, but those who exalt themselves shall be abased.

Evening
1 Peter 2:9 (KJB) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
There is a big difference between the nations of this world and God’s Nation. This is because all the nations of this world including the Earth itself will eventually perish. You have to admit that this is a wicked place, but eventually the Lord Jesus is going to return in the skies above and pour out His wrath upon the impenitent, and destroy the Earth and everything in it. But those who have received forgiveness in Christ Jesus and become faithfully obedient to the will of God will be able to become citizens of a brand new nation, one that will never perish. Nothing will remain of this Earth, but there is a brand new one that is being created for all of the faithful servants of God. Everyone who has prepared themselves and patiently waited for His arrival will become a part of this brand new kingdom, with eternal citizenship in the Everlasting nation of Christ Jesus.
Look up, for your redemption draweth nigh!
