Thoughts of the day 1/19/26

Morning

Ephesians 4:32 (KJB) And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

To be tenderhearted is to have a kind and gentle nature, being sympathetic and compassionate with others, because it is love that covers a multitude of sins. Jesus taught Peter that when a brother repents that you need to be extremely forgiving with them, even up to 70 x 7 times. The Christian life is about learning to go and sin no more and moving on and to perfection, and God grants us the forgiveness that we need in order to do this. So open up your hearts and be merciful with others, in the same way that God has been merciful with you.

Evening

Ephesians 5:8-10 (KJB) For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;).Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

When we are baptized by submersion, God forgives us of all of our past sins so that we can become a new creature in Christ Jesus. But our own salvation entails turning away from the darkness of sin and learning to walk in the light. Each day we must live a life of repentance by completely mortifying the darkness of sinful living, in order to walk in goodness, righteousness and Truth. None of us are righteous in and of ourselves, but if you have received Grace through faith in Christ Jesus, God expects you to become righteous, and prove it by your actions. The Christian Life is far more than claiming to believe in Jesus with your lips, you must possess the fruits of obedient living which are the evidence of your faith and love towards Him.♥️
