Morning
Psalms 103:8-11 (KJB) The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
We are in the age of Grace and there is Mercy available through our precious Lord Jesus Christ, but in order to receive it requires repentance. When you possess this attitude, you will feel sad enough about the wrong things that you have done to take the appropriate steps to confess your faults and do what is right. God doesn’t desire that men should perish but that they repent of their sins, and like having a key that opens up a lock, it is repentance that opens up the pathway to God’s forgiveness.

Evening
2 Peter 3:8-9 (KJB) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
The Lord is very patient towards this world and gives everyone the opportunity to come forth to Him in faith, and repent of their sins. We speak a lot about repentance on this website because it is one of the major keys to our own salvation. Jesus died on the cross to extend to us a portion of Grace, but in order to get to heaven we must use the gift that He has given us to completely turn our lives around. A dad can warn you about the consequences that come from doing what is wrong, but they can’t live your life for you. The same is also true of the Gospel of Christ. Prophets can repetitively warn you to repent of your sins but in the end, nobody can make that decision but you. God doesn’t want men to perish, He wants them to repent, so what are you going to do?
