Morning
Romans 4:4-5 (KJB) Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Many people feel that they are going to get to heaven because of their own works. They believe that they are a moral person who does a lot of good deeds towards others. But the truth is that all of us are sinners who will need a certain portion of God’s grace in order to enter into eternal life. Jesus taught that if you believe not that I am He, you shall die in your sins. Many people who make the attempt to get to Heaven by their works feel that God owes them eternal life, while the facts are that we owe Him everything for what He did when He shed His own blood on the cross as a propitiation for our offenses. Bringing forth good works is a huge part of the Christian Life, but works apart from Christ Jesus cannot save anyone. In order to become righteous in the sight of God one must first accept that they are a sinner and then come to Christ Jesus in faith and get forgiven for them. The next step is to go through a complete transformation through humble obedience to the will of God.

Evening
Romans 4:14-16 (KJB) For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Have you ever noticed that when laws are written, most of the time they will contain certain consequences for breaking them? For example, if you park in a no parking zone, then you are penalized with a ticket. If people do something wrong to their neighbor, then they can be punished and go to jail. So the function of the law basically is punishment and wrath. But if you were to remove every law from off of the books, then there would be no more transgression, because there would be no longer a law to break. When Jesus died on the cross, He completed all the demands in the Old Testament and then began the brand New covenant of Christianity. Christianity is based upon love for God and others, rather than law. This means that we can be very merciful and forgiving with others in the same way Christ has been towards us. Law produces wrath, while love produces Mercy, and if God so loved you, then you should also love one another. Genuine love for others does not require a law to keep it in check, therefore love is the fulfillment of every law ever written.
