James 5:16 (KJB) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
In order to find forgiveness, one must be capable of humbly confessing sin, both in one’s prayer life to God and to those whom you have wronged. But the one main thing that will stand in the way of apologizing to others, are the wicked works of pride. Jesus commands that before you bring an offering to the church you need to first be reconciled with a brother that you have wronged, which shows that the Lord is more concerned about repentance than He is about receiving a gift. God does not bless the financial contributions of those who refuse to reconcile with others. Confessing faults and reconciling with others is one of the main doctrines of our faith, and is such a serious matter that if people choose not to do it, then they are to be treated like a heathen. So if people seek Mercy from God then they had better seek Mercy from a wounded brother, because if people are too big to apologize to them, any attempt to confess sins to God only becomes an act of complete hypocrisy.

Evening
1 Peter 2:1-3 (KJB) Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
Have you ever noticed that a young toddler is very genuine in their nature? I mean really, under most circumstances you are not going to find in them the qualities of malice, guile, hypocrisy and envy, simply because they are a newborn baby! But many of us are older, and we have learned these attributes growing up in this sinful world. But when we become a Christian, that old person that we once were must be destroyed, and we must become a new child all over again. I know that many of us had a rough start in this life, but by the grace of God and a diligent heart we can be born again, only this time, we must be re-educated in the things of God, rather than the things of this world. Just like a baby needs milk to grow physically, we will need a regular supply of Scripture to grow Spiritually, so we can eventually mature into the obedient children that God wants us to become.
