Good morning and welcome in everybody. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture, but before we do that, I wanted to tell you a little story.
How many of you have been on the internet or trying to open up a computer file of some sorts when all of a sudden you ran into a pop-up that informed you that your access was denied? This can happen for many different reasons, such as forgetting your password, or not following the instructions properly. When this happens, it can leave you completely locked out of the program and not being able to get inside of it any longer.
This reminds me of the Christian life.
Many forms of false Christianity teach that salvation cannot be lost, but that is because they have been educated by heretical false prophets. Like losing a password or a key to a lock, some people’s access to heaven will be completely denied. If people couldn’t lose their salvation there would have been no reason to constantly.warn the church not to be deceived. The Lord Jesus even explains in the parable of a sower how some people will live the Christian Life for a period of time, but then for one reason or another they will eventually walk off on the faith.
Matthew 13:19-22 (KJB) When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
Some people will begin the Christian Life and can last many years but then they will eventually return to the lifestyle that they first gave up for Christ Jesus. Just like a wife divorces her husband, these treacherous people will divorce the will of God.
2 Peter 2:20-22 (KJB) For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
This passage speaks about people who became a Christian and escaped the pollutions of the world through faithful obedience and submission to the will of God. But rather than abiding in what they learned, somewhere down the road they got entangled with the world all over again.
As an example, consider a wife who has been educated for the past 20 years in the teachings of the Christian faith, but then one day she decides to depart and run off with your children and within a month she’s got your little ones involved in practices from false religions that go completely contrary to everything that she and the children were taught and raised in. That is by far one of the most evil women that you will ever meet in this world, because she is a female form of Judas Iscariot.
1 Timothy 5:12 (KJB) Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
When a wife or anyone else attempts to lead children away from the faith that was already established in them, they are consumed by the works of devil.
Matthew 18:6 (KJB) But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Judas was an Apostle of Christ, but rejected his faith and then joined up with others. Do people really believe that he’s going to be in heaven? Absolutely not, because Jesus taught that his soul was lost and he was the son of perdition.
John 17:12 (KJB) While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
The same thing happens today when people are instructed in biblical teachings but then walk off and then join up with a false church somewhere else, ones that are led by false prophets.
1 John 2:18-19 (KJB) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
Once people choose to walk off on their biblical training, God will cause them to believe a lie. The lie is that they feel like they will be in Heaven, while the actual truth is they will be cast away into an everlasting lake of fire because of their own impenitence
Matthew 7:21-23 (KJB) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 (KJB) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
Many people will eventually turn their ears away from the truth of Scripture simply because they don’t want to repent and do what it says. Then they will join up with a false church and heap to themselves teachers who assure them of their place in heaven, but without repentance, all of them including their leaders will be damned.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJB) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJB) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Sometimes people cannot get into a program on their computer, but that is nothing in comparison to what’s coming in the future. Strive to enter in at the straight gate because many people are not going to have what it takes to enter into eternal life. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when many people assume they will be in heaven, but then find themselves standing at the judgment, with their………
