Galatians 6:15-16 (KJB) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
Circumcision was something that was required in the flesh in the Old Testament, but when we become a Christian we are no longer under the law. What matters to God now is that we become a new creature deep inside of our hearts. Jesus taught Nicodemus that in order to enter into the kingdom of God he needed to be born again of water and of the Spirit, which happens through Holy baptism and belief of the truth. There is an Israel according to the flesh, and there is the Spiritual Israel of God. One is born of the flesh, while the other is born of God through faith in Christ Jesus. So of all the rules given, the Apostle gives out one of the most important ones of all. We must become new Spiritual creatures in Christ Jesus, by obtaining forgiveness for our sins, and walking in the mercies of God.

1 Peter 1:3 (KJB) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
At one time, the Apostle Paul was a Pharisee who was persecuting the Churches of Christ Jesus, but when he converted to the Christian Life he received an abundance of God’s mercy for his sinful past. Because of God’s forgiveness, he was filled with great hope that someday he could actually enter into the kingdom of heaven! God had wiped away all of his sins and he now had the fresh opportunity to turn away from what he used to be, in order to become a brand new creature through faith in Christ Jesus. But the Bible clearly teaches us that the hypocrites hope shall perish. A hypocrite is somebody who professes religion outwardly, but never genuinely repents of their sins inside of their heart. There is no hope for people who are not going to repent, whether they claim to be a Christian or not. Remember that Jesus said many will call Him Lord, but they will not enter into heaven because they never lovingly submitted themselves to the will of God. Genuine hope that is found in the scriptures is to be treated as a treasure, because we have an incredible opportunity to become something different than what we were in the past. To abide in Hope, we must mortify the sinful deeds of the flesh, and show our precious Lord Jesus by our actions, that we will love and obey Him from the heart.
