1 Peter 1:13-14 (KJB) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
When we go underneath the waters of baptism, all of our past sins are washed away so that we can begin a brand new life of faith towards Christ Jesus. Each of us will need to go through a complete transformation from what we were in our past, to what God wants us to become in the future. Anyone who names the name of Christ must depart from iniquity, which means we must turn away from sinful lusts and bring forth the fruits of repentance. To become a new creature in Christ Jesus will require rejecting the old man that we used to be, by crucifying the lusts of the flesh and walking in humble obedience towards the will of God.

Evening
John 3:16 (KJB) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
To truly believe in Jesus is to wholeheartedly accept the things that are taught throughout the New Testament. Those who sincerely believe in Him are going to faithfully submit to His will and turn away from sinful living. If those things never really happen in one’s life, then they never really believed in Him in the first place. A man might run down the hallway in a burning apartment building, and pound on the doors yelling that the building is on fire. But in order to be saved from the flames, you must believe in what he said so much, that it causes you to get up out of your chair, grab your cat, and quickly run out of the building. All over this world many people will claim to believe in Jesus, but if they never become doers of God’s Word, then they are living a lie. That’s not faith. To truly believe in Jesus is to believe in the testimony of scripture so much, that you will take heed to its numerous warnings and take the appropriate action in your life before it’s too late. There will be many people who had Holy Communion and were even baptized into the faith who won’t make it into eternal life. This is because they were only religious activities for them. They never actually believed the message of Christ Jesus enough, that it caused them to turn away from the lifestyle of a wretched sinner, into obedient children of God. So believe the truth, and repent!
