Thoughts of the Day 2/26/26

Morning

Luke 12:2-3 (KJB) For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

There are many wicked activities that go on every single day in high places of justice in this world, and some of them think that if they bury their evil deeds deep enough in paperwork that they will never be discovered. Others will secretly conspire to do evil towards their neighbor and think that no one is ever going to find out what they have done. Make sure that you consider very closely all of the things that.you do, because every hidden work of darkness will be brought into account before God. For the light shall expose the darkness, and the truth shall conquer lies, before a throne of eternal justice, and in a moment when there are no more secrets.

Evening

Luke 12:24 (KJB) Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

Many years ago, our family was returning from an incredibly long trip. We had left at the crack of dawn and it was already getting very late in the afternoon, and none of us had eaten anything since breakfast. I knew that I didn’t have any money on me, because I had put the rest of it in the gas tank. We still had a few hours to go yet, but I watched in the rear view mirror as everyone was beginning to squirm in their chairs. As I pondered their predicament, I decided to pull over at a rest stop, and while we are there I noticed a small little trail that went back into the woods. I told them that it was time to stretch their legs and I decided to take them on a short walk, but it only was about a hundred feet back in the woods that we stumbled across a massive blackberry patch, with perfectly ripe fruit and not a single one had been eaten. I don’t think I will ever forget that day, because for the next ten minutes we filled ourselves with so many of those delicious berries I thought we were all going to burst! It always reminds me of this verse, because most of us don’t even think about how the critters in the woods survive all the time, without bank accounts and refrigerators. The point is that God knows what we need even before we ask Him, just make sure that you keep Him first in your life, and then watch what happens!
