Thoughts of the Day 3/1/26

Morning

Colossians 1:9-10 (KJB) For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

The Apostle Paul wanted the church to understand the teachings and requirements of our faith, and whenever he had the opportunity, he would impart unto them his understanding of Spiritual things. The more that we understand our faith, the better grasp we will have on the things that we need to do in order to become pleasing unto God. We must continue to grow each day in the teachings of Christ, so that we can move on to maturity and live a fruitful and faithful life towards God.

Evening

Colossians 2:10-11 (KJB) And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Everything after the cross of Christ Jesus has been completed, and at that moment, the New Testament covenant was instituted. Circumcision in the flesh was commanded in the Old Testament, but in the Christian faith, we are not under the covenant requirements contained in the law of Judaism. What matters as a Christian is becoming circumcised in the heart, which happens when we believe in Christ Jesus and receive forgiveness for our sins. There is mercy available today for both Jews and gentiles alike, but they must become converted to the Christian faith. Jesus taught that unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins, so get forgiven before the moment passes you by. Repent and be baptized each one of you in the Name of Christ Jesus and wash away all of your sins. For the mercies of God are available to you, and as many as our precious Lord shall call!
