Morning
2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 (KJB) And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
There are two sets of people in this passage who will be punished eternally by God. The first set are complete unbelievers who never believed in Christ Jesus and become converted to the Christian faith. The others are people who claimed to be Christian but never transformed into obedient children of God. To obey the gospel is to submit your souls to God’s will which is found throughout the teachings of the New Testament. Many people will claim that they knew the Lord Jesus at judgment Day, but they will be punished with Everlasting destruction from His presence. Although Jesus died for them, they never really submitted their lives to Him, and because of this it will result in their own everlasting shame, and eternal consequences with God. Heaven is a reward for those who have been obedient, but the headstrong and the rebellious are going to reap His wrath.

Evening
Romans 6:1-2 (KJB) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Continue means to do something over and over again without stopping, or to persist in a certain type of activity. Jesus taught to go and sin no more, because those who continue to live in their sins will die in their sins. Many people think that grace is a license to sin, and they can do whatever they want and get forgiven for it later, but be forewarned that intentional and willful sin is a mark of those who hate Christ Jesus. For example, your children might toss around a ball in the living room and accidentally break an expensive vase, but that is quite different than a child who makes sure that their parent is watching, when they intentionally throw the ball to knock it over. One of these events was an honest mistake, while the other was done in full knowledge of what they were doing, and therein lies the difference between a genuine fault and an act of willful rebellion and malicious hatred. Those who treat the riches of God’s grace in such a manner are treating His precious gift with contempt, and because of it, they will ultimately have to face His wrath.
