Morning
1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 (KJB) As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children, That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
Perhaps some of you can remember getting ready to head off for elementary school and hearing your dad telling you to be good! The Apostle Paul was like a Spiritual dad to the church, correcting them and helping them to grow into fruitfulness and maturity in the Christian Life. To walk worthy of God is to live your lives in a manner that brings Him honor and Glory by placing an incredibly high value on the teachings of our faith. After all, the wisdom of God is the greatest gift that one could ever be given, and a Spiritual treasure that is beyond compare.

Evening
John 7:15-17 (KJB) And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
Sometimes when we need our vehicles fixed, we will take them to a mechanic. And although we might not understand how an engine works, a mechanic sure does. They can even recognize if your previous mechanic had a good understanding of engine repair because of the way that they fixed things. The point is that a mechanic can tell another good mechanic by their works. Likewise, men of God are going to recognize other men of God because they both have a very good understanding of biblical doctrine. Only those who truly desire to do God’s will are going to recognize the difference between those who are preaching the Truth of God’s Word, from those who are preaching themselves.
