2 Corinthians 7:10 (KJB) For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
The Lord Jesus taught to repent or perish, but in order for a genuine change to happen in one’s life, you must first possess Godly sorrow. This is a heartfelt state of contrition and great regret for the sinful things that you have done. People can say that they are sorry, or they can feel sorrow, and there is a great difference between the two. Godly sorrow is to be filled up with such remorse for past misdeeds, that you will humbly seek reconciliation with those whom you have wronged. True contrition will result in a complete change of one’s heart, being filled up with a sincere attitude of meekness that God will not despise.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (KJB) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
The Apostle Paul was a soldier for Christ Jesus, but he wasn’t fighting battles by using Earthly weapons. He was fully engaged in Spiritual warfare by using the Sword of Truth which is the Word of God. The teachings of Holy Scripture will pierce much further than any temporal weapon, because it reaches deep down inside of the soul and penetrates and convicts the heart. In this world, seducers and deceivers are only going to get worse and worse, and men of God must rise up to defend the teachings of the one true faith. Like reaching out for a weapon in a heavily filled armory, the Apostle Paul was delving into the armory of Scripture, grabbing the things that he needed in order to fight against anything that resisted the will of God.
