Thoughts of the Day 3/24/26

Morning

1 Corinthians 9:24 (KJB) Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

How many times have you watched a marathon on TV? Usually there are so many people running that they will actually begin to trip over each other at the beginning of the race. But during the first hour or so, the crowd will start to thin out and certain leaders will begin to emerge. In order to win first place in any type of race, you will have to strive hard to win! There are going to be many people who will actually believe that they are going to be in heaven, but will find themselves rejected by God at the judgment. They won’t be able to obtain the final prize of eternal life simply because while on this earth, they never chose to strive as hard as they could against sin and repent from dead works. Eternal life is a prize that will be given to the faithful in Christ Jesus, but in order to obtain first place in a race, you will have to possess both the attitude and the endurance to be the first person across the finish line.

Evening

Jeremiah 4:4 (KJB) Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Circumcision was something that was done in Judaism and commanded in the Old Testament law. But many Jews over the years put their trust that they were going to be in heaven simply because they were circumcised in their flesh. But in order to obtain eternal life someday, we must be circumcised inside of our hearts, which happens through faith in Christ Jesus. It is through the bloodline of the Jews that Jesus Christ came, but many of them rejected the one whom God sent as an atonement for their sins. In order for them to be saved eternally, they must be converted to the Christian faith, just like Peter, Paul and the rest of the Apostles of Christ. Without faith in Christ Jesus, they will find no forgiveness with God at the judgment, this is because Jesus was sent to deliver us from our sins.

Many Christian disciples were formally Jewish, but became circumcised in their hearts when they placed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. There is a big difference between the flesh and the Spirit. There is a big difference between what is temporary and what is eternal. Everything on this Earth, including the Earth itself will eventually be destroyed and burned up by God, because He is preparing a new Heaven and Earth for the faithful followers of His only begotten Son Jesus. So repent, and be converted to the teachings of Christ so that you can obtain forgiveness from God.

No matter what background you might come from, forgiveness awaits you all, when you call upon the name of the Lord and wash away all of your sins in the Name of Christ Jesus. Forgiveness with God is the greatest treasure that I have ever known in my life, and it is only found through our precious Lord Jesus. Be not faithless but believe, because this incredible gift is granted to all those who place their faith in Him.
