Thoughts of the Day 3/25/26

Morning

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJB) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

There is a difference between claiming to be a Christian and being “in Christ”, and it has to do with obedience to the will of God. In fact, to go through the transformation that is required in Scripture, we must depart from sinfulness and walk according to God’s purpose. To truly be a new creature, we must put off the old sinful man from our past and become a brand new one through the abundance of Grace that is found in the Lord Jesus Christ. To truly be “in Christ” is to no longer walk after the flesh, but to walk in the Spirit, by rejecting everything that we once were, in order to walk in faithful obedience to the will of God.

Evening

Mark 16:15-16 (KJB) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

There are many false prophets in the world today who will claim that baptism is not a requirement of the Christian faith. These are Antichrist doctrines, because they directly usurp the commandment of Christ Jesus. It’s incredible the amount of pride in the devil, who lifts himself above one of the requirements that was set forth by the Lord Jesus Christ to obtain eternal life. When Jesus died on the cross, the Old Testament was complete, and when He rose from the grave, the New covenant of Christianity began. After He was risen, He appeared to His disciples, and explained to them in this passage, that baptism is a requirement to obtain eternal life. When we are baptized into the name of Jesus Christ, we are submerged underneath the water, and then we rise up as a newborn child of God. At that point all of your past sins are forgiven unto you. Those who reject baptism reject God’s forgiveness, and those who preach otherwise are false prophets and heretics who must be rejected themselves.
