2 John 1:9 (KJB) Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
When you abide it means to comply and to obey, just like children in a classroom must abide by the rules of their instructor. Doctrine is the body of principles and teachings that are put forth to be understood and accepted. To abide in the doctrine of Christ is to walk in faithful obedience to the teachings of the New Testament faith. Jesus taught that in order to be loved by the Heavenly Father, we must love Him, which is ultimately proven through our humble compliance and submission to His will and purpose for our lives. So you see, obedience towards the teachings of the Christian faith are extremely important, because not only will it lead to a complete transformation from a sinner into a Saint, but it is the proof of a sincere love towards God.

1 Timothy 6:20-21 (KJB) O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
I have always enjoyed many types of science, from astronomy, chemistry, and a few other classes that I took when I was in high school. But the truth is that if science conflicts with the teachings of God’s Word, it’s really not science at all. It’s actually a lie because it stands in direct opposition to God. Many times unbelievers look to science to find the answers of how the world and everything in it was created, but those who have faith understand that they were made by the hand of God. So rather than looking to science, I encourage everyone to place their faith in Christ Jesus, because there are many mysteries in Scriptures that neither we, nor science will ever be able to fully explain. This is because in our flesh, the Divine works of Christ Jesus reach far beyond any human thinking.
