Thoughts of the Day 4/5/26

Morning

John 3:16 (KJB) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

To believe in Jesus is to believe in the things that He taught, and it is only through sincere faith that people will ever truly repent of sin and submit to the will of God. Without faith it is impossible to please Him and become transformed from sinners into Saints. To believe in Jesus is to forsake the path of sin, in order to follow the way of Jesus. For He is Holy, pure and without fault, as will be each of God’s elect, who through faith have become brand new creatures Christ.

Evening

John 3:17 (KJB) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Everything was created by our precious Lord Jesus Christ, and when He died on the cross, He gave His own life as a sacrifice for the sins of men. He could have destroyed the entire world, but He didn’t. But although He didn’t condemn it, like was done previously in the flood, He most certainly condemned the sinful works of the flesh. He condemned the hypocrisy of the religious leaders. He condemned the evil works of darkness. He condemned all of the works of iniquity.

So you see, it only is by the grace of God that any of us are still here on this Earth. Jesus didn’t destroy the world, but He did condemn sin in the flesh, preaching firmly against it so that through repentance, people could be saved eternally. Thank God for His mercy and patience, and giving us the opportunity to change all of our sinful ways.
