2 Corinthians 7:10 (KJB) For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
When you want to pound nails, you will go out to the shed and find a hammer. When you want to take out a spark plug, you will go into the garage and find a socket. When people really want to repent of sin, then they are going to need to find some Godly sorrow. This is a tool of the penitent and something that will be needed in order to repent of sin and eventually obtain eternal life. Godly sorrow is to be filled up with such remorse that it causes you to completely change the way that you live your life. When you possess it, it will provoke you to be zealous to reject the old person that you once were in order to become the new person that God wants you to be. Godly sorrow is much more just than saying that you are sorry, it is feeling sorry from your heart, and unless you possess this type of contrition, a sincere and heartfelt change in your manner of living will only become a short-lived illusion.

Evening
Romans 8:1 (KJB) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
When people are in Christ Jesus, they will be living each day of their lives in submission, and obedience to the will of God. It is our obedience to God’s purpose that is the key that reveals one’s own sincerity to the gospel of Christ. Trying to live the Christian Life without obedience is like trying to run an engine without oil. Professing to be in Christ without obedience to God’s will is like planting a tomato seed in your kitchen, but never watering it. As redeemed sinners, we must learn to love obedience, striving diligently to serve the Lord Jesus with all of our heart. In order for any of us to become flawless and without rebuke in the sight of God will require a complete transformation, from disobedient creatures, into loyal children of God. Those who are in Christ will repent of their wickedness, and submit to the will of God, so I implore each one of you to repent of the evil things that you have done, and walk in the favor of God.
