Morning
2 Corinthians 5:20 (KJB) Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Reconciled means the restoration of friendly relationships between two people who have been at enmity with each other. I can remember being out in the playground at elementary school, and two of the very best friends in class became enemies for a period of time. One of them did something really wrong to the other, but refused to apologize for what he had done. Because of this, they no longer sat at the lunch table together. They wouldn’t talk to each other on the school bus. Even when they passed by one another in the hallway, they wouldn’t even look at each other.
Why does this happen? Because someone is too hard-hearted to apologize and to confess their faults to those whom they have wronged! They refuse to come into submission to the will of God! Without confession of your faults, forgiveness of sins cannot be obtained, simply because of one’s own refusal to sincerely apologize for the cruel deeds that they have committed. What has to be done is to approach the one that you have wronged, lose the pride, and humble yourselves before them.
There is a treasure of forgiveness that is waiting with God, and He is ready to forgive, but people do not receive it because they are just too arrogant to admit the wrongs that they have done. In that state, they are outside of the grace of God, and will remain that way until they bust down their own wall of pride. The Apostle James warned the church that they needed to humble themselves before God with a contrite and penitent heart, and this same attitude is also required towards a brother that you have wronged. Confessing sins to God and refusing to do it to a brother makes you the biggest hypocrite on the Earth, and in that state your soul will be lost forever.
So remember, that the message of Christ is to repent or perish, because if you do not reconcile with God and others, the coldness of your own pride will result in you losing not only your own salvation, but being thrown into the everlasting fires reserved for the devil and his angels.

Evening
2 Corinthians 6:1 (KJB) We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
Many people will seek after the finest of diamonds or the purest of gold, while others seek after rubies and pearls. But you could take all these things and throw them into the depths of the sea, because God’s forgiveness is the greatest treasure that we could ever obtain. To receive God’s grace in vain is to not understand the immense value of what has been given to us in Christ. The Apostle Paul understood how much this gift was worth, and he used it as an opportunity to completely change his life around. Grace working upon the heart should result in a complete transformation from a disobedient reprobate into a humble servant of Christ. If that never really happens, then you are only deceiving yourself because you have received God’s grace in vain. This happens because it is of no value to you whatsoever, and because of this, it never produces the change that is required in order to obtain eternal life.
