Morning
1 Peter 4:1-2 (KJB) Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
When we make the decision to become followers of Christ Jesus, our path will take a completely different direction as we renounce sinful living and walk in the light. But when this happens, many of the close relationships that we had in our past will become your enemies, and will cast out your name as evil and reproach you. This is because rather than continuing to join up with them and live the way that they do, you have chosen to come out of that life and do what is good and right in the eyes of God. Becoming a Christian means developing new friendships with others who call on the name of the Lord out of the pure heart, and when past relationships cause you to suffer for submitting to the will of God, then you have truly ceased from sin.

Evening
Romans 12:19 (KJB) Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Everyone who chooses to become a Christian is going to enter into some type of tribulation and suffering. It can come from family members, your neighbors, and even your own wife. But whatever wrongs are committed against us, we are not to avenge ourselves. In fact, the Lord Jesus by His own example could have destroyed the Earth when He went to the cross, but He didn’t. The creator of Heaven and Earth allowed himself to suffer at the hands of sinners, and has now been risen into high places of eternal glory. In fact, the more that we allow ourselves to suffer in this world, the better resurrection that we will have in the future. Don’t be concerned about what people do to you in this life, because God sees everything that is going on. Just as He brought plagues and tribulation upon the Egyptians for the sake of the Israelites, He will bring Great Tribulation upon those who cause you to suffer. So cry out mightily to God and let Him take care of the rest. Mark my words, He will bring it to pass, because I have seen God pour out His wrath many times against others who have done wicked things towards me. I have witnessed the vengeance of God, so make sure to give it to Him in prayer, because I assure you that as judge of judges, He will swiftly take care of the matter.
