Morning
Mark 16:15-16 (KJB) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
One of the requirements of the Christian Life is to be baptized by submersion, and I guarantee that if you don’t have the faith to do that, then you certainly will not be in heaven. But baptism is also the beginning of the Christian Life, not the end. As a christian, you will have to mortify the sinful deeds of the flesh and depart from iniquity, and if you never turn from sin and repent from dead works, then it doesn’t matter if you are baptized or even had Holy Communion. In that state all people are is a wicked sinner who was too proud to change their ways, and religious hypocrites such as these will be cast away from the presence of the Lord and inherit the wrath of God.

Evening
Luke 6:2-5 (KJB) And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days? And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him; How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone? And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
The religious leaders of Jesus day were so legalistic, that there were using the law as a reason to find fault with others. Consider a man carrying a flat tire into town and then somebody charging him with a crime because he was lifting too much weight. Even when people go into a church and help themselves to the food in the cupboards, are you going to charge them for stealing? Where is your mercy? Love is the end of the commandment, and if anybody is going to be loving towards their neighbor it ought to be those who name the name of Christ Jesus. Please be merciful to others, and this includes all of you who are involved with law enforcement. Put yourself in the shoes of others, and treat them in the same manner that you would want to be treated yourselves. Show mercy to others, because in doing so, you will fulfill the law of Christ Jesus, by letting the light of God’s graciousness shine through you upon others.!
