Thoughts of the Day 7/18/26 am
John 8:21-24 (KJB) Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
In order to enter into eternal life, each of us needs to be forgiven for our sins. None of us are righteous, no not one, and all of us have come short of the glory of God. In the Old Testament, they would offer up animal sacrifices unto God, but it was not possible that the blood of animals could take away our iniquities, so the Heavenly Father sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to shed His own blood for the complete remission of our sins. Forgiveness with God can only be obtained through faith in His Son, because He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The mercy of God is available to all those who call upon His name, so praise God for His kindness and the riches of His grace.

Thoughts of the Day 7/18/26 pm
John 15:9-10 (KJB) As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
To abide means to stay or to remain in a specific condition, and if you truly desire to abide in God’s love, it will require keeping His Commandments, which are found throughout the teachings of the New Testament. When we walk in obedience towards God, His love and His blessings shine down upon us, but on the other hand, living in rebellion and sin will result in estrangement with Him. For example, in order to abide in the love of a husband, a wife must obey him with perfect submission, and as the bride of Christ, the church must do the exact same thing. We must obey the Lord Jesus with a perfect heart, striving diligently to please Him in everything that we do!
