Thoughts of the Day

Thoughts of the Day 7/28/26 am

Psalms 95:1-3 (KJB) O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

We have always had many different types of birds around our cabin who like to lift up their voices each morning. They have many of their own individual songs, but they always sound so joyful, as if they are so appreciative for another day to enjoy. But we must do the same, lifting up our voices unto God in praise, thanking Him for all of the wonderful things that He does. The thoughts of His kindness toward us should cause us to sing, and bring forth a new song unto Him, from a grateful heart.

Thoughts of the Day 7/28/26 pm

1 John 1:9 (KJB) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

In order to receive forgiveness from God or others, it first requires the open confession of your faults. John the Baptist listened to many private confessions when he was baptizing people in the Jordan River. In the church you are supposed to confess your sins one to another so that you can be healed. God requires not only confession to Him, but you must confess your faults to a brother that you have wronged in the church. Before people can be cleansed in the bathtub, they must first remove all of their dirty clothes, and if you want to be washed from your sins, then you must first remove them from your heart, by acknowledging them both to God and the people whom you have wronged.
