Thoughts of the Day 8/3/26 am
Psalms 51:1-3 (KJB) Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
In order to receive mercy from God, we must first humble ourselves before Him, by acknowledging the wrong things that we have done. Our Precious Lord is incredibly forgiving, and is quick to show mercy, and desires that all men come to a place of repentance. But to have all of your sins washed away, you must admit them, and accept the reality of what you have done. God does not require sacrifice, but a contrite and broken heart, because confession opens up the door to receiving the abundant riches of His grace.

Thoughts of the Day 8/3/26 pm
James 5:10-11 (KJB) Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
When you choose to become a Christian, you are going to enter into some type of tribulation. But whatever type of persecution comes to pass in your life, you must endure it. Consider all the suffering that Joseph had to go through at the hands of his own family. Consider all the suffering that Moses had to go through when he forsook Egypt. Consider Abraham and all of the suffering that he had to endure when his wife was taken from him. But God eventually delivered them all, because He is filled up with lovingkindness and tender mercy. Praise the Lord!
