Thoughts of the Day 9/6/26 am
Ephesians 5:1-3 (KJB) Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
The Lord Jesus loved us and gave His own life for us on the cross, so we could have the grace that we needed to become a brand new person. As an unbeliever, all of us lived in sin at one time or the other, but through Christ Jesus He completely forgives us of the past, and gives us an opportunity to become one of His Saints. Jesus loved us, but in order to get to heaven we must love Him in return, which is going to require a complete transformation from sinful living, and repentance from dead works. Fornication might have been committed in your past, but as a baptized believer, it is not supposed to be named once among you. This is because those who get involved with it are not walking in the Spirit, but are fulfilling the sinful desires of the flesh. God hates this sin so much, that He destroyed 23,000 people in the Old Testament who got involved with it.

Thoughts of the day 9/6/26 pm
Ephesians 6:1-3 (KJB) Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
First of all, a child is defined as a boy or girl in a developmental stage before they reach adulthood or legal majority. Children are under the guidance and direction of parents in the home, but once they become a legal adult, they have to make their own decisions about what they are going to do with their life. God wants you to obey your parents as you grow up in the home, but once you decide to follow the teachings of Christ Jesus, it can create a huge division between you and your parents, something that the Lord Jesus explained was going to happen. Your parents might be caught up in false religions, or following heretical forms of Christianity, and as an adult, you will have to decide who you are going to follow, Christ Jesus or your parents. Remember that the Lord said come follow me, and in order to do that will require forsaking your own relatives in order to serve the Lord Jesus Christ from the heart.
