Thoughts of the Day 9/21/26

Thoughts of the Day 9/21/26 am

2 Corinthians 5:19-20 (KJB) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

When you were in school, did you ever have a very close friend that you spent a great deal of time with? But one day, something happened between the two of you, and you had a falling out with each other. Sadly this can happen in many different relationships, even within a marriage. The same thing has happened between us and God, having a broken relationship with Him because of our own sinfulness. But even while we were yet sinners, Jesus shed His own blood on the cross as an atonement unto God, so we could be forgiven for our iniquities, and restored in our relationship unto God. The pathway to reconciliation with God is found through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, so draw nigh unto Him, confess your faults, repent of your sins, and be reconciled unto God.

Thoughts of the day 9/21/26 pm

2 Corinthians 7:1 (KJB) Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Through the gospel of Christ Jesus, we have the promise of eternal life, but we must go through a complete transformation and repent from dead works in order to eventually inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. God gives us grace and extends to us a promise that He will save us, but we must act in accordance with the teachings of Scripture and submit to the will of God. God in His Mercy was kind enough to forgive you, and we must now make great efforts to cleanse ourselves from all of the sinful works of the flesh. Water baptism is only the very first step in a new relationship with God, as we must mature in our faith, depart from iniquity, and walk in the high calling of the Saints of God.
