Thoughts of the Day 10/9/26

Thoughts of the Day 10/9/26 am

Galatians 5:24 (KJB) And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

In order to eventually obtain eternal life, all of us need to completely rid ourselves of the sins of the flesh. Crucifying sinful activities is to put them to death in your heart, so that they no longer play an active role in one’s life any longer. Our hearts must be completely focused on the love of God rather than a love for all of the things in this temporal world. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome all sinful temptations with the help of the Lord and by the power of His Spirit. Praise God for His grace.

Thoughts of the Day 10/9/26 pm

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJB) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The word”if” in the dictionary presents a conditional clause, showing that something can or will only happen, after something else happens first. For example, if you were to tell your children that you will take them to the beach if the weather is sunny, obviously if it’s cloudy and rainy that afternoon, all of you will be staying home. Sometimes people cannot find a place of forgiveness with God because they refuse to seek Him with a contrite and humble heart, something that the Apostle James warned the church about. To find forgiveness with God, people must first take the appropriate steps by actively seeking Him with the whole heart. God does not despise those who are filled up with a contrite heart, and will completely restore and forgive those who are truly penitent.
