Romans 8:12-13 (KJB) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
The term once saved always saved is a heretical teaching that actually began back in the 5th century. There will be many people who turn away their ears from the truth and will follow the doctrines of devils. Jesus taught in the parable of the sower that some people would begin in the faith, but then depart from it. Christians have a responsibility to walk according to the truth of scripture, because if they are not going to repent of the sinful works of the flesh, then they will certainly perish. Those who say otherwise are preaching lies about the true teachings of scripture, and must be wholeheartedly rejected. Salvation is not a one-time event in one’s life, but a daily process of departing from iniquity, and walking in the doctrines of our faith.

Romans 11:21-22 (KJB) For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Our God is merciful, but He is also a jealous and severe God, which is one of the reasons why there is an eternal heaven, and an everlasting lake of fire. The Apostle teaches the church to mind the way that they live their life, because if they were not going to continue walking in the goodness of God, then they were going to reap His wrath. Christians can be cut off and lose their salvation? You had better believe it, so keep humble therefore, and repent.
