Good morning and welcome in everybody. Today, we are going to take a look at a passage of scripture, but before we do that, I wanted to tell you a little story.
Over the years our family has done a lot of work out in the woods, but I’ve always noticed in our area that they have huge piles of unused timber and brush that are being made ready to burn. The foresters will clear the leftover debris from timber harvests or thinnings, and push it all up into one big heap in order to burn it sometime during the winter months. The main reason why this is done is because it helps the forest to regenerate. After all, something new is going to grow up and replace all of the old trees that were once standing there.
This reminds me of a Christian Life.
God is going to do the exact same thing, because the heavens and the Earth are going to be completely burned up and nothing shall remain of them. This is done as a process of God’s land management, so the elect of God can begin a brand new life in a new Heaven and a new Earth.
2 Peter 3:10-13 (KJB) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Many times when someone purchases a new piece of property, the landowner will hire someone to come in with bulldozers and an excavator to completely destroy the old home that has been sitting there for hundreds of years. They will pulverize it into small little pieces, load it onto trucks and haul it away never to be seen again. This is for the purpose of building something new in its place. God is going to completely destroy this Earth for the same purpose. He is currently building a new one for all of the obedient children of God.
John 14:2-4 (KJB) In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Although there are many people who want to colonize the Moon or Mars, in the end it will all be fruitless because God’s going to destroy everything anyway. Not only that, but every soul that has ever lived will have to go to judgement day, and you will either abide in God’s new dwelling place, or you will be cast away into an everlasting lake of fire. Eternal punishment is not God’s first choice for the wicked, because He wants sinners to repent and get forgiven for their sins. He wants them to follow the teachings of the New Testament faith so that we can become transformed into His Saints. This offer is available right now for all people, but those who don’t take advantage of this gift befuddles me. Not everybody is going to open their hearts to the love of Christ, and because of the rejection of His sweet gift of forgiveness, they will ultimately be punished by God forever. Perhaps you never had a dad who genuinely cared about you, but the heavenly Father loves you enough to send you His Son Jesus to show you the way.
Pouring all of your time and money into things that aren’t going to matter anyway is a complete waste of time, but using finances for the benefit of furthering the things of Christ Jesus are the efforts of a truly faithful and wise man. What’s the point of putting all of your money into houses and property, when it’s all going to be burned up anyway? Mark my words, this is going to happen and this Earth and everything in it will be obliterated by God. He has to do it in order to make way for a brand new kingdom, one that is filled up with truly good, righteous and loving people.
2 Peter 3:7 (KJB) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Matthew 24:35 (KJB) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
The days are coming when the son of perdition is going to try to set up his kingdom on the earth and claim that he is God so he can rule over everything, but it’s all just an egotistical farce. He is a power-hungry wicked man, and because of his rejection of the Lordship of Christ Jesus, he is going to reap the fires of Eternal punishment. Just like putting the garbage into the dumpster, this Earth and everything in it will be thrown away forever, and never to be remembered again.
Isaiah 65:17 (KJB) For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
Isaiah 66:22 (KJB) For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
The new world that is coming is going to look quite different than the one that we are currently on.
Revelation 21:1 (KJB) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
So I warn everybody, believe In the Name of Jesus Christ now, because He cares for you. Get forgiven before it’s too late, and repent of your sins, because those who reject the love of God are going to have no recourse when this Earth and the heavens above are burned up by God, and cast onto,……
