2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJB) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Everything that we can see in this world is only going to be here for a short period of time because eventually the Earth and the heavens that now are will be destroyed by God. All of the lakes and streams, the mountains and valleys from the highest places of authority to the humblest of homes are all going to be gone in the future. Jesus created this world and everything in it, but don’t get too comfortable here, because nothing is going to remain. It is the invisible things of God that we cannot see that are eternal.

Luke 14:25-26 (KJB) And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
Love is an extremely powerful emotion and one must always be careful what you place it upon. To be a follower of Jesus Christ demands our full attention and love, because if anything becomes greater than Him, you become unworthy of the kingdom of God. People can pull you in many different directions during this life, but out of a fervent love for God, we must always continue in the direction that He wants us to go. The Lord Jesus must be our greatest love and we must faithfully serve Him from the heart, and above all others.
