Thoughts of the Day 11/4/26 am
James 5:1-3 (KJB) Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Everyday, people in this world are constantly storing up riches for themselves, either in a bank account or some other type of worldly assets. Sometimes wealthy people can have two or three different homes that hardly even get used, standing vacant for most of the year. Some people will store up all kinds of expensive vehicles in their garage that are doing nothing more than collecting dust. Others store up gold and silver, and hide it somewhere on their property. Rich people are in the process of amassing their wealth, so they can retire early and travel the world or enjoy other recreational and worldly pleasures of this life. Usually they will quickly justify what they are doing, claiming that they are more intelligent than everybody else, and can make lots of money hand over fist. But the truth is that the things that they have were given to them by God, and He is watching to see what they do with what He gave them. Mark my words, some people are going to find out on Judgment Day that everything that they had is all going to count against them. With wealth comes huge responsibility, because God intends you to do good with it. The love of money is the root of all evil because it is absolutely selfish, and if people are going to store it all up for themselves, and refuse to take the opportunity while they are alive to help those who are in need, I fear for their souls. I don’t believe that writing up a will counts, because if death was the only thing that could wring it from their dead hands, they never really cared about others anyway. Many people are going to face misery in the sight of God, and all of those unused opportunities that they had to help others with their wealth will eventually eat their flesh as it were fire.

Thoughts of the Day 11/4/26 pm
1 Peter 4:13-14 (KJB) But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
No matter how much you may be hated and persecuted in this world for preaching the Truth of Scripture, it doesn’t even compare to a thimbleful of God’s love. When we are surrounded by a world that denies the teachings of the New Testament, God will bless those who take a stand for the Doctrines of our faith. Preaching the Truth does not please the impenitent, but will thoughoughly satisfy the will of the Heavenly Father, and because of this, He shall grant them innumerable amounts of love and joy, accompanied by an eternal peace that this world can never give.
