Morning
Philippians 2:12-13 (KJB) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Sometimes you can give an employee a job to do during their day, and as long as you are in the office they will eagerly go about their tasks. But as soon as you decide to run somewhere, such as to the Post office, the employee will kick back, sit down, and do absolutely nothing. The same thing happens in a classroom setting when the children will only be busy about their homework when the teacher is in the room! The Apostle Paul praised the church for their obedience, not just when he was there amongst them, but especially when he was away. He knew in his heart that what the Philippians possessed was genuine faith, because faith does not require people standing over them to get the job done. Do you have that same kind of faith?

Evening
Philippians 2:10-11 (KJB) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
There are many Kings, Presidents and rulers of this world, who are busily involved with the activities that concern their jurisdictions over their own Earthly kingdoms. And although many times they can be greatly misguided, we must pray for them and submit to the authority that has been granted to them by God. Scripture teaches us that God wants all men to be saved, and that includes those in high places of authority in this world. Although we must obey Christ above all others, we must try through our obedience towards them, to help bring them to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus. Many of them have sinned just like the rest of us, and quite possibly greatly regret their past dealings, but repentance is the answer for every one of us who sincerely believe in the Truth of Scripture. Pray for your husband, pray for your dad, pray for the governor, and all those who are in a place of authority in this world, that God would grant unto them a place of repentance inside of their heart. After all, every single one of us will eventually have to bow our knees before the King of Kings Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for both them and us. Although Christians will have to suffer for our faith, we do not rise up in riotous behavior against authority, we must pray for them, that God would open the eyes of the King.
