Morning
1 John 2:5 (KJB) But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
The Christian life is about perfecting our love towards God. After all that is the first and great commandment, to love Him with all of our heart, soul and mind! But this can only be accomplished through our obedience towards His will. Doing the things that He commands and teaches us throughout Scripture is the proof of our love towards Him. Just aa a wife proves her love towards her own husband when she obeys him in everything, we must treat our precious Lord Jesus in the same manner. The church is His bride, and we ultimately prove our love towards Him by our faithful and humble submission towards His every desire. Seek to love Him in this manner, and watch what happens in your lives.

Evening
Mark 2:15-17 (KJB) And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
In order to save people, the Lord Jesus would oftentimes spend a lot of His day visiting with sinners, and educating them in the Word of God. He was instructing them in Spiritual knowledge in order to bring them to a place of repentance in their lives. Obviously if you are going to help people to turn away from their sins, you are going to need to spend some time with them, counseling, correcting, and admonishing them in the will of God. But many times, the religious leaders of His day would find fault with the Lord Jesus because He would sit down and have dinner with them. Levi, who had been a tax collector at one point, eventually became the Apostle Matthew, and when Jesus sat at meat in his home, many of the other publicans and sinners sat down to eat with Him and His disciples. But incredibly enough, many times it’s the people who the world considers the dregs of society who actually repent of their sins, while the religious people of this world continue to abide in their own hypocrisy and impenitence. Jesus had the ears of the sinners, and was attempting to convert them to the Truth, and one thing is for sure, there is no lack of sinners in this world who need to hear the teachings of our faith, and be transformed from sinners into Saints. Even if you can convince just one sinner to repent, you can know for certain that all of the angels in heaven will rejoice!
