2 Peter 2:1-2 (KJB) But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
As we progress towards the return of our precious Lord Jesus, false Christianity in this world will continue to rise, being led by an innumerable amount of heretics and false prophets. Heresy is to hold a belief, opinion, or doctrine that is completely contrary to the teachings of the King James Bible. When they deny Scriptural doctrines, they deny Christ Jesus, because they are the teachings that He gave His Apostles to give to the original church. The word “many” has been defined as describing a large but indefinite number of people or things. Many people are going to follow after them, which is exactly what is going on in society today. This is why when you stand up for the Truth of Scripture, you will be hated by many people who profess to be Christian. Hated by people who claim to believe in Jesus? Absolutely! This is because rather than accepting the teachings of Holy Writ, they have allowed themselves to believe a lie instead, and those who continue in that state without repentance, will most certainly be damned along with all the rest who reject the Truth of Scripture.

2 Peter 2:9-10 (KJB) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
There are many people who despise any type of government, but if there wasn’t any governance in this world, complete anarchy would run amok. There are many places of government, such as a king, a president, legislative bodies, courts, law enforcement, and even a dad over his own household. Each of them has a specific place of authority over others, in order to correct, guide, protect, and to lead them in upright and moral standards. As a christian, we are to serve and obey those who are over us, especially those who have instructed us in the teachings of Scripture. A Christian should never be riotous and unruly towards places of authority in this world, but rather humbly submit yourselves unto them for Christ’s sake. Remember that those who are in high places of authority who misuse the power that has been granted to them by Christ, will have to answer directly to Him, because God is not mocked, and everyone is going to reap what they have sown. A Christian must always make sure that you are good and obedient to those who have authority over you, submitting yourselves one to another, in the fear of God.
