Psalms 100:1-2 (KJB) Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
When we come before the Lord Jesus to praise Him and lift up His name in song, our hearts need to be filled up with joy for everything that He does for us. When we do something in a joyful manner, it means to express something with sincere happiness and loving bliss. The Lord Jesus is worthy of all of our adoration and praise, for He is the shepherd of our souls and we are the sheep of His pasture!

Evening
1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 (KJB) As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children, That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
The Apostle Paul was a Spiritual dad to the church, helping them to grow up in their faith, just like you would help your own children. When the church was doing what was right, he quickly praised them for their faithful actions. On the other hand, if they were involved in sinfulness, he would rebuke, correct and chasten them. Sometimes he had to reprimand them severely, and even had a fornicator removed from the church. But just like any child, some of them just need a hug, while others need to be encouraged. Occasionally they might need some strong discipline to correct the error of their way. But whatever was going on in their lives, the Apostle was there to help them, guiding them as an under Shepherd of the Lord. He was leading them in the teachings of our faith, so they would walk in a manner that was worthy of the high calling of Christ Jesus.
